Sonic and Tails look down, confused... and see the toxic sludge is beginning to rise! Cue this kick-ass music.
Imagine the robot activating the chemical to rise on purpose on a last attempt to do his master's will. The robot is gone forever, but it sacrifices itself in order to do what Temporacle wants
I love the Sonic Advance reference with the zones getting icons. And I love how Blizzard Bedlam's snowflake has a clock in it! The music alone is enough to get me hyped for this game! Prediction: This level is gonna take names, unless your Tails.
@@Skyfecta I know it's probably a Sonic Advance reference but I'm pretty sure Sonic 3 & Knuckles was originally planned to have icons specific to each level. (Angel Island has the palm tree) But they did not get enough development time to make an icon for each stage so the icon for each remained the Angel Island palm tree.
I can imagine an intro animation where Sonic (or whoever you are playing) looks down, sees the rising goo, panics, and then hands you control. Kinda like the start of Mania's Chemical Plant.

This song is still such a banger for having that harmonic rhythm, the bass line in Toxic Caves in general has made this to be one of my favorite tracks, and even then this song blows the original mix of Toxic Caves right out of the water. Honestly really think having no boss would be a weird waste. Just have a souped up scorpius at the top with the toxic goop being utilized by it for the boss fight.

They're all going to be remastered since most of them sound like they're being played underwater, so same songs but butter-sounding. Some will have more spice added to them though.

I would add a spin dash up a incline over a semisolid platform and then the act begins and you gain control so you can gain a good headstart
