- Good morning everyone, it's June 21st 2019 and I hope you're having a fine day. Toxic Caves is the 12th and semifinal zone of Sonic Hysteria. Robotnik expanded it from its original small size into a massive undersea tunnel connecting all the islands. He also armed it with tons of security, so you're not gonna have a smooth time making it to the end.

AND YOU EMPHASISED THE BASS! Yes, so many remixes lose that, but you have NEVER disappointed, the bass was front and centre! As it should be!
1:31 nice nod to the arranged mix from the Sonic Boom album. This delivers on a silver platter.
With the background art, I'm seeing a level design similar to the two layer design of Metallic Madness Act 1 from Sonic CD. The upper layer is several platforms suspended over toxic sludge, while the lower path is partially submerged in water, with few connections between (mainly dropping you down and not letting you back up).
This song reminds me of the song Tubular Trash zone. Guess what game it is?

I just realised, next zone is probably atomic destroyer and its theme already slaps so remix will be even better!

unironically hoping for this exact idea to be used in mania 2 -- taking more 'unusual' sonic stages i.e. from spinball, gamegear games, 3d blast etc. with awesome tunes and turning them into real levels, between new originals. i'd expect the music to be just like this too

Toxic Caves Act 1 Gang

Ok so comments and music aside let’s speculate on the endgame!
The zone pattern ranges from:
Classic, New and Time travel (Can be classic or modern)
Anyway the last 3 zones (the temporacle icon is the final boss therefore it doesn’t count)
There’s Aqua lake zone, Toxic Caves Zone and lastly there’s ??? Zone (The robotnik icon)
For odd reason the pattern is
Classic, Classic and… unknown…
Maybe Toxic Caves is actually the new zone (which would actually make sense since spinball isn’t an actual sonic game)
So the pattern would still be the same (maybe)
Classic, New (kind of) and… the robotnik icon…
I don’t think the robotnik icon will be a time travel stage, after all a good future might ruin the mood for the final boss but if it sticks with the pattern I wouldn’t mind, now… the only question is… “what is the final zone going to be called?” Only time (or the release) will tell…
Doesn't Launch Base break this pattern? Because

Launch Base breaks this pattern once, so I wouldn't doubt the last two zones would break the pattern
I think the robotnik icon stage might be Atomic Destroyer, considering the icon's design.
Ok younger me (2 years younger) was apparently very religiously interested in this game I see
I'm still excited for this game of course but I genuinely wonder how is development going, not to pressure but this project has definitely been on my radar for the past 2 years just not as hyperfixated on it like I was 2 years ago lol

3 months ago when you said this, but god damn, yeah. RUclips’s notifications sucks shit. I don’t know exactly how it works, but I’m assuming that they don’t notify you of the channel if you haven’t watched for a long time, which is...ridiculous, if someone doesn’t want notifications from someone they don’t wanna watch anymore, they can just set notifs to “None”, but no, even when notifs are set as “All”, this happens. Honestly, sorry that happened to you.

I think it's interesting how the first zone in Spinball is one of the final zones here.

Imagine fighting him while you're on top of a barrel in the middle of the toxic water, needing to avoid his attacks and stay on the top of the barrel
With Scorpius as the Act 1 boss, and yes, the Mecha Sea Serpent definitely need to be act 2s boss.

That is some gorgeous pixel art! If I could say one thing though, if the water makes the rocks look blue the the rocks above the toxic waste should likely look a bit green instead of just staying purple.

The bops are back, I am happy
P: Robotnik's Toxic Waste Dump and 🏭. Pretty much the same as it was in Spinball. The smell is all to familiar to Sonic "and he wishes he didn't have to smell it once more."
Ps: Almost none of the construction is present in the cave. So all the natural wonder is on display. Barely a barrel to be found in the water and it's crystal clear to boot. Wow would you look at those stalagmites and stalagtites!?
BF: The pollution is far worse than now and the machinery is decrepit and broken. The place smells awful and glows with an even harsher, toxic, green glow. God knows what mutations would happen if anything fell into that toxic sludge.
GF: The 🏭 is now used for Toxic Waste disposal. Although there's still toxic, green, sludge around; The machines are now nice and clean. This place will keep Mobius clean of Robotnik's filth "or at least help". Plus the cave's wonders are still there and will be there for future generations to enjoy.
