Its way too late, but by adding super glue to the parts that smash together like the bit that pushes the bullet and the back of the bullet chamber it hardens them to almost like thin plastic, u can just put super glue wherever you think is needed

I actually made this and it worked great except the part that moved back to launch the rubber band part wears down fast but over all very fun project
