ASMR stands for "Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response." The term refers to the fascinating tingly feeling that many people experience when they hear certain sounds or descriptions, or experience certain feelings. This tingly feeling travels from the head downward. Sounds that trigger it can include whispering, crinkling paper, the gentle brushing of fingertips over a surface, or certain soft and repetitive sounds such as falling ran or a typewriter being used.

Which one is the most satisfying to type with and why?
This is not at all meant to sound glib, Irene. But the one I’m working with in the moment, the one that allows me to get the ideas out in real time, the one that responds to my call faithfully and asks for more…that’s the one that’s most satisfying to type on. And that’s basically all of them.
Little skywriting sounds good.

Out of the 5 how many have new platens or heat shrink platens. ?? Nice video 👍
Good question, Doug. Let me see. The Hermes 3000 I bought a year and a half ago with a platen that was a year old, so that’s still pretty new. The Skyriter’s platen I changed myself about a year ago. Did a two-part video on that, you can find it on the channel. The Silent-Super’s got an older but serviceable platen-got it as a gift in 2017. The Corona Four’s platen I replaced back in 2020 I think it was, did a video on that one too. The Lettera 32’s probably got the flattest platen of the five but it still works well, it’s an awesome machine. None of these are shrink platens. Hope this helps you.

Hello, Guerino. Great question. The first sheet is to type on. The second sheet bears the force of the type hammers and protects both them and the platen while raising the ink stamp. I recommend always rolling two sheets through into your typewriter. Hope this helps and thanks so much for watching.
