There is nothing like disassembling your tractor and working in the great outdoors🤔.. Fresh Air, Cool Rain, Lots-o-Wind in the afternoons..... sometimes a bit to much Sun....... YEH sounds cool.
If it was what I have encountered before, I wedged the clutch pedal to stay engaged with a piece of 2x4 ,removed the small plastic cover on right side near brake pedals then remove the screen on the clutch vent and used a large size flathead screwdriver to slide in between the clutch disc’s to free it up once again. This is a handy and cheap way to unfreeze one that has been setting for a while, the first time it happened to me about 25yrs ago it costed me $175 , then I wished up with the 2nd time encounter of this and asked a couple of good friends with tractors and they told me about this, and it’s the same thing the mechanic done the first time when it cost $175, it took at max 10minutes to do, I don’t mind paying for good mechanic work but $175 for 10minutes of work is bs. Especially since I borrowed a rollback and took it to him.
I'm an industrial maintenance mechanic, I've removed machine parts the size of that whole tractor... but splittin' that in half to change the clutch and the thought of trying to realign that all up to put it back together gives me a pounding headache! LOL! Nice job!
I hear you. I was a boiler maker for 18 years so i had a lot of experience bull rigging and problem solving. it actually all lined up pretty easy . I used the tire pressure to adjust elevation and used the steering to adjust windage.
@@jamesozment1 This is funny, as I'm watching your video, I was thinking, thats how I would've blocked it up. I'm a 21yr Boilermaker. LOL Tearing it apart and putting it back together is what we do, and its never on a bench! Always in the air, or deep in the hole! LOL
If it's just a stuck clutch, I've read that the pressure plate can be popped free with a long screwdriver through that access hole seen on the right side. I have to fix my son-in-law's 950 with stuck clutch, so I'm really hoping this info is correct! Don't want to split it, but if we get to that, your methods look great!
It had sat up for several years . The owner wanted it replaced , and I happy to oblige because that extra cash in my pocket bought myself a new 11meter antenna and upgraded my mobile amateur radio.
I got a 1070 with the loader I believe is just a little newer Tractor but the same thing. Nice job on the video I thought of walking with the roller tubes underneath was pretty ingenious I never even thought of that I'm doing the same thing as you were I got to do it out in the yard. I was worried how to get a accurate spline alignment without moving it to easy but your roller idea is perfect hope everything worked out good for you nice job. Rob Sandera

I thought I seen in the background a heavy duty Jack, that is another tractor with a loader on it. But I did like your ideal of the cribbing rolling on PVC. Hope your clutch change out went well
Alex Rodas.....Take off what ever needs to be removed to get it to the half he has in the video and just do the job. It won't be done in a hurry, and get a service manual.
i wish i would have recorded it all but this took a week . i worked on it a few minutes at a time in between repairing water lines trimming blueberry trees and other farm work.
Nice innovation the rolling system. My 950 jst locked up. It ran gr8 the day b4, I tryed starting it up with clutch pushed in and in gear, and it started to take off. I placed in neutral with the clutch, then took foot off clutch, and it started normally but when I pushed clutch in to try and put in gear, it just grinded . How did your problem arise? Thx
I’m curious where do you find the directions how to get the dashboard apart? What a nightmare that thing is I got a replace a hydraulic line and it’s hard to put all the stuff back together with the dashboard still back together
