I mean when you play a low voice instrument I feel like you’ll wanna try some of the high voices. Well at least that’s what I did because I play tuba and I tried clarinet but didn’t like it so I got a flute and I’ve grown to love it. But yeah flute tuba is also a weird Combo.
Just beautiful! Herman Beeftink is a wonderful compositor and I just love play his pieces. Moreover, who isn't charmed by the incredible sound of Rama Kumaran! Thanks for this musical moment.

As a composer myself, I find your works deeply impressive. The style has a youthful simplicity and charm to it while being at the same time very mature and subtle. Nothing is to excess; everything exists with just enough complexity and flourish to be enough. Truly inspirational!
Wow. Saw images of the two squirrels in my back yard, chasing each other through the grass, up the trees and stealing the bird seed. Great piece, great composer and flutist.
Awesome! You can see cute little beasts raging. I really appreciate. And such a brilliant work for flautists to shine. Could imagine it as a race for two players.....
May I know how long it takes to compose these pieces, what gives you inspiration to make these pieces, and do all the sounds just appear in your head as a whole? Or do you think about everything as an individual part first while making it? Sorry it's fascinating to know how you come up with these amazing pieces
Elemental Vortex I start with improvising, playing with ideas on the piano, getting often inspired by visuals, like the beauty of nature. Then the days after that I keep coming back to it, working on form and fine tuning melody, still all just on the piano. Only after I’m completely happy with the composition then I will change instrumentation, for instance in this case give the melody to the flute and the chords to the strings.
@@HermanBeeftinkComposer Sir we both share the same inspiration of magnificence of nature, and may be that's why love all your pieces. Thank you. Love from India :) I'm a novice beginner with no fornal training and it's probably my unrealistic dream to compose a piece inspired from nature. :)
@@HermanBeeftinkComposer thank you for this explanation of how you fill a blank sheet music in a masterpiece. This has to be the best composition yet from one of my favourite composers, his music just gets better and better, flute music shopping spree on the way!!
This is beautiful, thank you 😊 *adds to playlist of flute stuff that I will never be good enough to play* There we go, another unrealistic expectation for a flautist training for her grade 5 No hate, I am making this playlist so I can look back when I have got a grade 8, be it in 5 years or 10, or even 20, thank you for composing these beautiful pieces 😊
Just wondering: The flute does not play the right rhythm in bar 79 and 81, right? Or is the sheet music incorrect? I am only asking, because I fell in love with this piece today, bought the sheet music and playing it to this recording I stumbled across both bars. Thank you!!
I appreciate your question, thank you. Most of my pieces are story telling, so programmatic style would fit that. Yes the titles are purposely descriptive, setting the direction of the imaginary story.
@@HermanBeeftinkComposer thank you so much. Your style interests me very much. @@francobonanni3499 I have some program notes that I’m planning to add to my website soon but not really anything about the use of melodic and harmonic structures. I will keep it in mind though, thank you for the suggestion.
@@007Commentator Im aware of no real work around other then actually fingering the notes (high g-a, horrendous) or overblowing the lower g and playing a harmonic trill (best result such as it is).
