  • A quick look at the Narwhal/Nahvalur Nautlus Fountain Pen after using them for a year. I take a look at few different materials, give some closeups, and compare to some other common pens.
Finally I disassemble it before giving my opinions as the whether its worth the money.

The Nautilus is a damn fine looking pen. I just purchased the Narwhal Voyage Miami, which has the same shape barrel, but lacks the portholes. Which one is the red sparkling one?

That was a limited edition through Goldspot with PenBoyRoy. I do keep an eye out for the special editions, since they're usually pretty nice.

Nice pens! How does the red plating / coating on the nib hold up?

So far so good, but I've not had it a terribly long time. As expected, the plating was polished off the tip as part of the smoothing process - that was me doing it purposefully - but it hasn't peeled off any further. Nor is there any problem on the rest of the hardware.

@@subramanyamraju9362 Hello. I don't understand what you are asking? If you are asking how I find out about these pens: I subscribe to mailing lists from online pen stores. They send me an email when they have new and interesting pens.

No need to pull out the nib and feeder, as the nib unit can be unscrewed.

You are correct! I don't know why I showed everything else but not that. Though I do typically remove my nib when doing a cleaning between inks or before putting a pen in storage for a while.

The TWSBI Eco and and Eco-T come with the plastic wrench at the more entry level, but it's metal in the higher tier piston fillers.
