it was not bcoz of kennys.. awp is a heavy gun.. heavy gun should reduce ur speed and especially when u scope it coz its one shot gun.. the gun was in development stage they just launched the game..
when dust2 changed something went wrong about kennys and old players (i dont know why but this is true)

Ofc kenny was an important factor in the change,as far as heavy weapons are considered they reduced the scoped movement speed not the in game movement speed and secondly what do you mean development stages??? Csgo was launched in 2012 ...awp was nerfed in 2015 (awp has been a part of the game since forever)

For me it’s KennyS. I started playing counter strike when he was at his peak. No other awper has ever reached that kind of skill level yet.

You might be right in csgo but the awp had a higher skillcap in 1.6 and thus people reached a higher skill. Watch people like markeloff or walle. Playikg an awp in csgo is like trying to play football with one leg. You can be as skillfull as messi you won't reach your maximum potential.
Kenny at his peak is by far the best awper that has ever existed.

If guardian got his major. He would have so much more respect to his name. His entire team sandbagged him and he nearly won the thing by himself.
Kenny at his prime was a monster possessed. Only person (apart from olofboost which took a team) that actually caused valve to nerf him. Ridiculous how good he was.

Zywoo has only been on the scene for a year now, its way to early to say he is the best of all time at anything. He is the best player right now. But in my opinion, awpers that are better than him at awping right now? 1) Woxic 2) KennyS 3) Device 4) Cerq 5) Jame 6)JW 7)Gratisfaction 8) Coldzera (even though he isn't a full awper) 9) S1mple (not an awper for his time right now but I think he is still a better awper) 10) This one is just for the last spot. Shox there are times when Zywoo gives the awp over to him when Zywoo is having a hard time with it, and most of the time shox has better success in those moments. Do I actually think Shox is a better awper. No but I needed another guy. This list is in no order.

KennyS hands down. He has the highest skill ceiling than any other awper and he doesnt have to be at his peak. I mean cmon... they released a update to nerf the man.
He has not done well in a few years though while awpers like simple,device and guardian are still at the top, Nobody had his peek but having a high peek and then being mediocre doesn't make you the greatest of all time

No one is as accurate as KennyS when it comes to flicks. I rarely see him miss. He can literally flick to 1 pixel and hit it every time. Love the guy. (Also love JW but he's too reckless)

Glad everyone can agree that Guardian, KennyS and Device have been god awpers at times that nobody could touch - in their own ways.
Of course there are more now, but that bar has definitely been set by them.

People need to stop this anti Kenny agenda. The guys only really been quiet since late 2017 to the entirety of 2018. The last year abd a half he's consistently been top 5 itw and at times easily the best.
ZywOo and Device are hitting their shots, they rarely miss, but kennyS was hitting some nasty and insane shots "lighting fast" if you know the flick on inferno when kenny kills xyp9x on second mid

well it depends how you define the best awper... If you say the best awper is the best player, who plays with the awp, simple, device and zywoo are legitimate answers. But if the definition of the best awper is the one who has the best skills with the awp, its kennyS.

Fallen is the BEST AWP EVER!
Fallen is definitely best. Skill only eclipsed by Kenny's and positioning, movement is untouched.

Fallen is better than them. Dupreeh said in an interview that he didn't mind playing with Simple or KennyS because he already played against Fallen at the height and it was really another level.

Guardian had the highest peak. KennyS missed a lot in his peak but Guardian was hitting 99.9% of his shots during his peak.
Finally kennyS getting recognized as the best awper of all time. I know the movement speed of the awp while scoping is the the reason of the nerf but Kennys was the one who made it look like easy on everyone. Pasha and JW are reasons too but mainly its kenny

Best awper overall was markeloff (because of 1.6) - when we ignore prior versions then people think about kennys, simple, cerg and zywoo because they play attractive and aggressive. But the best awper in csgo actually is device because he is fully implemented into the team and plays for the team.
For me its Kenny and Guardian.
Underated: olofmeister, Niko, woxic, JW
Not underrated at all. olofm isn't all that good. Woxic only for a short time and I don't think you can consider him top 10, same as olof. NiKo quite decent but not primary awper. JW could be top 5 overall in csgo.
Olof? He's hardly an awper and even if you do consider him one he's far from the best. Niko as an awper? Really? Woxic is underrated and extremely good but he's new so far from the goat.
@@christianhildalgo Well Olof is primary AWPing for Faze, and when you consider that he has ~6 AWP kills per map played in the past 3 months and that Guardian (who everyone considers and AWPer) ~8 AWP kills per map in the same time frame, then I think alright to call Olof an AWPer.
You also say he's far from the best and yet Faze is doing alright against teams like EG, Fnatic and Vitality. And these 3 teams all have solid AWPers. So I think underrated is a correct statement.

More consistent than Device? I don't know mate, Guardians peak was definitely better than Device's best, but in terms of consistency, I don't know a better awper than Device. Since he hit peak form, he hasn't really slowed down. He's been top 5 in the hltv ranking for the last 4 years, and I'm willing to bet he is going to get top 5 this year again.

@@9ico If your going for most performing, so counting in the team factor. Its device. Device has made every major for like the past fucking 3 or 4 years, has 4 major MVP's and like 16 more MVP's. He also is extremely consistent after every single game. Guardian even in his peak wasn't consistent ever game, and never won as much. Neither was KennyS.

The question is kinda unfair. Pre nerf Kenny S was the best for sure, but post nerf not so much. So you cant just put him as best of ALL time because he reigned in a time where the AWP was quite OP.

If we are talking player peaks it’s KennyS no doubt. But if it’s all time career it has to be Dev1ce. He hits the easy shots. He hits the hard shots and hits the wtf shots. He can be anywhere on the map, when he’s confident it’s a demon
