We lost our son to TFMR Christmas of 2011 and now have our daughter, 17 months old. You both, and Terri, covered grief so well. One analogy that helped us was our ability to cope with life is like a cup. Mindfulness is the hole that drains it, and events fill it. Sometimes it overflows and we break down emotionally. Grief and loss are a rock that fill it to the brim making it easy for our cup to overflow. Over time, our cup gets bigger. Eventually you have a bucket. Your ability to cope gets greater. The rock of grief and loss are still there and we carry it with us, but we cope a little better every day. I don’t yet know how we’ll tell our daughter about her older brother, but we’ll find a way. She loves to watch your Wiggley shows every day and knows all the dances. Her favorite song is rock-a-bye-bear. Thank you for all you do, and thank you for creating this podcast. ❤ from 🇨🇦
Terri is very well spoken and wise. I almost got emotional when she talked about the importance of navigating grief and tough family situations. Fantastic discussion overall.
Terri is so inspiring to me….as a widow, mom and energetic youthful woman….love this interview, thank you
