I have the same watch-except in the blue and black variety. I have had it for about two years. I still enjoy wearing very much. It seems we share some similar tastes in watches. Keep up the great work.
Very well worded and presented review, the size of this model is just perfect. I do remember 15 years back that I wouldn't touch anything below 44mm, I guess time changes trends. The thickness isn't apparent because of slim sides of the case but will bump up on a small size wrist, while on larger/thicker will just "sink" and will appear around 12 or 13. The 45mm lug to lug tho makes it suitable for any wrist so yes, it's a great piece.
I’ve got the exact same watch. Bought it in 2013; and I’ve never had any issues with it....planning to send it for servicing when it’s 10 years old. It’s a great piece overall
It is strange that the Omega site shows this model as all black. I don't like black I like dark grey but was going to get the 006001 model which is a mid grey. But if you are definitely sure this is a dark grey? It does look grey in your video. If you are definitely sure then I will be getting this model. Thanks.
@@AnoopSingh-gn6uj the thing about black dial stainless steel sports watches is, it is everywhere I go, office, mall, park, etc. Every guy has a black dial stainless steel sports watch. My coworker has one cheap one he wears 365 days a year looks so bad and natty on him. I always try to get a grey, or green, or white, or brown dial. Much more elegant and less out there.
Ah no, I don't. I miss it but don't regret it (so far). The disappearing hands got the better of me. I would have liked to have compared FOIS side by side to this one though. Maybe one day... :)
@@engineer_wannabe I’m looking at both right now and the timeless option is the Speedmaster FOIS. If one ever needed to sell it, I think the Racing would be more difficult to move.
Hey man, after spending time with the racing and the FOIS, which would you recommend? I’ve already owned the professional moonwatch and let it go. I’m stuck between these two! Thanks in advance
Hi! Could you pivot and consider the new 3861 Moonwatch? I find that wears better than all of them 😃 The FOiS has a nice/different look though! Have you been able to try one on?
@@engineer_wannabe I've been considering that as well! I'm a little worried that I'd be wanting the professional if I went with anything besides the Moonwatch. So you're saying the Professional beats out the FOIS and the 40mm racing in your opinion? Thanks for the response!
@@davenportsimon Yeah, I currently own the Speedy Pro and to my memory, it wears better than the FOiS. Much thinner than the racing, slightly thinner than the FOiS, Lug to lug is good and the bracelet is very comfy. I love the new Speedy Pro!
Congratulations. Good video. It looks much better in person though. Seems to be out of stock everywhere. Found 1 piece and am considering purchasing it
@@SahilVohra56 I got it in the omega showroom (Hyderabad city). He said it was the last piece. If u want I can call them and check. Looks like they've stopped selling these. I see few on chrono24 but none in india
It's a lateral clutch. The movement is based on a valjoux 7753 but is Co-Axial, has a silicon hair spring, and has a column wheel.
Thank you very much. For some reason I thought I read it had a vertical clutch...I was probably half asleep lol
Man, you can't do a review without puting the watch on a wrist

I love the blue and black one, such a nice colour scheme :)
Thanks for watching and for your kind words!

Also the 7753 movement on this has a co-axial escapement wheel.

I actually just ordered this but wasn't sure if it was black or grey either - I prefer black though

Beautiful
I like the rubber strap, the price that the company offers for a set of rubber bands, that's great

Does the racing wear thinner than 15mm or is it too chunky?
How does the date thing work?
Pin pusher on left hand side of the case
What’s the price on this?
