The King of Fighters '95 is still my favourite in the series - if only because it was the game that introduced me to the series (courtesy of the SEGA Saturn release, here in the UK). I become hopelessly addicted to it and it was the only version I played, until I finaly started importing the other incarnations several years later. I absolutely LOVE the introduction too - It still blows me away, even now. Needless-to-say, this was the first game I sought out for my own Neo Geo (despite the fact that my AES came with Kof'94). Today I recorded the gameplay of the neogeo CD version. The ost is impressive. Especially the intro. In addition, the image quality of the machine is of high quality. better than my AES. And the controller pad is delicious.
Excellent!! The Arranged music always seems a bit off to my ears, that said the Neo geo CD release is really good at 18-20 seconds to load in a new level and 7 seconds to load in a new character. There is the odd bit of character animation cut though, but it's very minor. Also, Not sure if it's a model thing, but my Japanese AES (Neo-0/90A 166414) puts out an amazing picture via SCART cable to my CRT, easily as good as My Neo Geo CD. 🤔 @@ScanlineArcade
I have that console Neogeo also but why would I want to play on that console when I can play these games on the newest consoles including the PC I don’t need this Neogeo console to play these games as I need the Nintendo Switch to play Zelda Mario Metroid SNK games can be played on any console
It’s good if you get enjoyment out of experiencing the original vintage hardware. It’s like listening to Mozart live, or on Spotify. Both sound roughly the same, but aren’t.
I gave away my SNK system cause it sucked it got no new releases when I got the Sega Saturn it was playing all the games better then the Neogeo console playing on any old consoles is a waste I was buying arcade machines cause consoles sucked the reason to that is cause arcade machines were PC
Imagine the consoles today were the same I would of stopped playing games the PS5 Xbox series X Nintendo Switch is how to game not going playing on the 90’s consoles if this Neogeo was so great why didn’t they add king of fighter 15 to it
While I can beat the PS1 version without much issue, playing it on either my Wii's KoF Orochi Saga, or my PS2 KoF Orochi Hen though (the Japanese version, which is a far cry better than the US PS2 Orochi Saga, which itself is a buggy mess), and Saisyu and Rugal utterly decimate me.
