First step ban Eucharistic Ministers. Only a Catholic priest should be giving Our Lord.

There simply aren't enough priests; they have to delegate, or those unable to attend a Catholic Mass would be unable to share in Communion - and *that* is shameful.

@@fmartin3051 Than you will be helping to commit sacrilege. Which is worse. Shortage of Priests was done on purpose to commit sacrilege. You should only be receiving from a Holy Priest.

@@johnpglackin345 Luckily, I'm Protestant and don't believe in Transubstantiation at all. The sick and homebound shouldn't be denied access to the Lord's Supper merely because the vocation of Catholic Priest isn't more widely appealing.

@@fmartin3051 Only the Catholic Church can do the Lord's supper. Our Lord clearly established one Catholic Church. And only the Catholic Priests can consecrate the bread and wine into His Body and Blood. Jesus was quite clear that you must Eat His Flesh and Drink His Blood inorder to have eternal life. What you and fellow Protestants is demeaning His sacrifice on the Cross and His Resurrection.

@@johnpglackin345 I strongly disagree, but I won't pretend you don't have a right to your opinion. Priests are human beings, and no more (nor less) fit to discharge the duties of Remembrance than are other people. Jesus grew up as a Jew and, in that culture, the literal consumption of blood is forbidden. He was speaking metaphorically, then, when he said the wine was his blood and the same is easily inferred about the bread being his body. Rather, he said to take the elements of Communion in remembrance of him; not to engage in - there's no other term for it - ritualized c*nnibalism.

These people should stop. EMHC's shouldn't exist.
