You saw that wrong, that was violin legend Yo Yo Ma giving him beats. He's not just clapping like applause, look at the beats of his hands. Yo Yo Ma is the musician in Lil Buck's viral video they showed before that part.

Hi, re your nice comment 3 years ago about Lil Buck, I thought you may like to see the generation before him. Carlos Acosta started off as a break dancer in Cuba. He then studied ballet and rose to be principal dancer with the Royal Ballet in London. He's just retired after 17 years to become a choreographer. My best friend is an Afro-Cuban dance master and I've introduced him to the RUclips videos of Lil Buck. Another mutual friend of ours studied dance with Carlos Acosta in Havana. I hope you enjoy Carlos in action! ruclips.net/video/KH5kpHfU7hU/видео.html

      R. Fairlie I was originally into dubstep but I’m adding ballet into my choreography

JJ Paris - that’s great! I also recommend that you look into Cuban Rumba (especially the athletic solo Columbia) and some of the Afro-Cuban moves. They have a similarity that you’ll recognise from what you already love. Check out my friend on RUclips who I mentioned above “Amazing Columbia - El Moro”. Also look up Maykel Fonts (especially “Maykel Fonts @ El Sol Warsaw”), Wilmer Najarro and Adrian Medina. They’re excellent and such a pleasure to watch, yet they’re all different. These guys have various specialities, eg. Contemporary, Ballet, Afro-Cuban, Flamenco. Their body isolations and core strength are wonderful. Wishing you success in your dancing future! Robyn
