      Hello Irene. I'm so sorry for the confusion. My original recording of this video was too long, so I ended up cutting it in tow and making two episodes. So, you'll find that I explain the solution in the first episode.
      However, its not very special. Just dish soap, window cleaner, and water. I hope that helps. If not, feel free to ask again or email me.
      Thank you!!

      Thankyou very much for this. Your comment makes what I do so worthwhile. I'm sure there are lots of ways to do things but I do hope this is helpful to some. I hope most of all that it saves people from ruining their jewelry like I did on some pieces.
      I'm so glad you are here and watching.

    Thank you Cheri for this very helpful and informative video. You made me smile when you said Bolty was trying to get in the room, I hope the move was not too hard on your cats. Your grandmother had very beautiful taste in jewelry , it runs in the family😊

      Thank you very much. There is so much to say about jewelry cleaning. I'm really enjoying making the videos. In the next one I need to ask people what their biggest questions are. Then I'll try to tackle some of them if I know the answer.
      Always love seeing your comments. Thank you so so much Laurie.

    I have used Dawn for years and never had a problem...but I prefer Castille soap...and I use one with no colors or scent.
    Thanks for all the great tips on how to keep the sparkle shiny !

      Awesome!! Thank You so much for the tip. I do have some of that because I make my own laundry soap. I never thought to try it on jewelry. What a great idea!!
      I appreciate you sharing that so very much.

    Hello Cheri! These cleaning videos are very helpful! I clunked in all kinds of jewelry into my jewelry cleaner before I saw this video. I stayed up late last night watching your “Rich box Poor Box” videos. Those were so fun! You got some amazing things in your “poor box”. Like that red coral necklace with 800 silver. Did you end up keeping that necklace?

      Hello Untangled. Thanks for the great comment. And I hope you didn't ruin any pieces in that jewelry cleaner machine. I do have one but I'm not sure it really does anything as I seem to always have to help it along anyway.
      As for that necklace, I put it on eBay. Thanks for asking and for watching that series. I think I will do another one. Was really fun!

    My Mom (antique collector and amazing thrifter) used to say people would toss out or donate valuable items just because they were dirty.

    • @jen4um
      @jen4um Месяц назад +1

      That’s true. I know someone who would donate her sterling when it got tarnished.

      Wow. Pretty amazing, right? Like...who thought to just clean it? lol.
      If I had enough money, I might just toss things (donate of course) and get new ones too.
      Thanks for sharing this. I bet your Mom is a lot of fun.

    Verdigris ughh! Yuck I went through a phase where I kept finding verdigris on my baubles.
    Love watching you clean the baubles ❤
    Like the tip to use a toothpick. I have plenty of those!
    Some people use ketchup to remove verdigris. I think because it is thicker and will stay on better.

    • @BlessedBaubles
      @BlessedBaubles  Месяц назад

      Hi Naomi. Yes, I do think they use the ketchup because, as I said in the video, they can see it better. I still haven't tried it but I might. Just think it may look gross on a video. lol. But you never know. People might like to see what it does.
      I'm sad that you were fiding verdigris on your jewelry!! I hope you got it under control. As you saw in the video, its easiest if you catch it early.

    What solution are you using in the bath for cleaning? I see you use vinegar on some tougher stains. Do you use different solutions on different items?

    • @UntangledTreasures
      @UntangledTreasures Месяц назад +1

      She discussed the solution in her first video. I think it was Dawn dish soap, windex and water.

    • @BlessedBaubles
      @BlessedBaubles  Месяц назад +1

      Hello Debra. I'm sorry for the confusing. The video turned out to be too long so I cut it in half and made it into two episodes. So, in the fist episode I mention what is in the cleaning bowl. Its just dish liquid, window cleaner, and water.
      I do use different combinations of things when needed. I guess it always depends on that the soil is.
      I'll do my best to address this question in my next episode.
      So happy to know you are watching and they are helpful
