- In this video I will show you how to check error codes on any newer (and possibly older) International truck. Its always "Cruse On" and "Resume" buttons (sometimes they are on the same side) It will be shown on 2011 International 4300, MaxxForce DT engine. No tools needed. I think it will work on many other International truck which are equipped with small in-dash display like mine.

How many miles does your truck has? I have a 2012 international terrastar maxxforce 7 v8 turbo with only 123,000 and it is throwing a lot of white smoke and the coolant dissappear, what should I do? Is it worth it to fix it?
Usually when coolant goes and you have white smoke - its one or both of the egr coolers on the sides of the engine have internal cracks in them.
They are relatively inexpensive to replace. Take them off and see if they are wet inside, then you found the problem. Also, much less common is a head gasket on the motor.

Where was your brake switch located?
Right on the master brake cylinder, under the hood, brake pedal is connected to it with the rod.

These trucks are good if you know how to work on them and spot problems before they arise - that was said to me by an actual International mechanic.
Couple things that I obsevred bad with them are:
- Egr coolers
- Injectors
Egr coolers - you can just plug them (not the coolant part - but the eactual gas part) or completely remove (if legal of course) And that fixes the whole issue, these coolers are prone to crack, pain in the bitt to get to and very expensive.
- Injectors mine failed originally because I had an air leak in hoses. If you ever see any injector codes or loosing power, fix it asap, otherwise you will need a set of Injectors soon. (Air in fuel kills them, it has to do with the design)
Otheriwse IC are great trucks and pretty much bulletproof.
@@rootkitxx i know like the dt466 7.6 is reliable including the maxxforce dt 7.6 but in the future I might gonna engine swap my bus to a bulletproof 7.3 powerstroke diesel v8 t444e that badass engine it is so fucking reliable when I first drove a 2000 bluebird 3800 t444e right shorty handicap with red seats men that thing didn’t break down at all what a beast 175 horsepower though but still such a reliable engine Paul dark 🤩🤩🥰👍🏻🙏🏻
@@ulisessanchez7467horsepower don't matter much in diesel truck, it's the torque that does it. Plus they usually mate the proper transmission so truck can go around country with it's max gvw and make it. Might be slow, but once it gets to speed you good.
