The effort you put into creating it truly shines through. The content was not only cute but also easy to understand, perfectly in sequence. Your sense of humor adds an extra touch of charm to it! Keep spreading positivity 😊 delightful content✌️
You def did inspire me to visit Kyushu! Visiting an active volcano area sounds scary but I still want to visit. I really want to try that hot sand bath you mention! When you said they recommend 10 mins and you were counting that at 5, omg I can already imagine roasting. Very informative video and I love how you introduced so many new sites and activities that I never heard of before. Great video, Elaine! ♥
Hehee thanks for dropping by tifa😍😍, yes the hot sand bath certainly helps train one's tolerance to heat! Don't worry about going to any active volcanoes in Japan, they should always have emergency sheltered there 😆😆! Thanks so so much for watching my vid!
I’m glad I found your video before my trip. First time to Japan and I’m looking forward to visiting Kyushu. Do you think it’s easy for a solo traveler to drive from Kumamoto to visit Aso Nakadake Crater and Takachiho Gorge all in one day? Wanted to visit as many places of Northern Kyushu as I can but I don’t know how lol
Hey Stevie, glad you found my video helpful 😄! You could totes do a day trip between these 3 locations, if you don't mind approx. 5 hrs' worth of driving all up. If I were you, I'd start my journey early in the morning from Kumamoto > Takachiho Gorge for the lovely boat ride (remember to book as early as possible, and way in advance) & other activities. I will then drive to Mt Aso to enjoy the crater/museum (if that's your thing). If you start the journey at 8am, you will be able to make it back to Kumamoto at 7pm for dinner! Let me know how you go!
I loved Mt Aso, Takachiho Gorge, Bunganoo (Kiyokawa), Sumie Beach (Nobeoka), Miyazaki Coast, & Sakurajima. I agree, driving is the best, especially down in Kyushu. I can't wait to go back this year to explore different places.
You had me at Ju-an. We didn't get to Kagoshima but we will definitely have to go for the pork. It looked fabulous. Kagoshima looks amazing. I don't think I've had the fish cakes before. Adding that to the list too. Definitely inspired to go back to Kyushu! Top work Elaine.
Hey Shane! Thanks so much for dropping by👋👋! I'm pretty confident that your fam will have loads of fun in Kagoshima, it almost gives us a glimpse of how Okinawa would look like ☀️☀️☀️
Haa I won't be surprised if I see another series about your MEGA trip in Japan, I really do look forward to that, as it'll be awhile before I come back to Japan🥹
We’ve been to Japan 18 times but haven’t made it to Kyushu yet… yeah I know it’s somewhat embarrassing. But we’re goin to South Korea and Japan in late May to mid-June so maybe this time.. thanks for video - some inspiration in there. Liked that Mameya cafe.
Thanks for watching, so glad I gave you some inspo! Kyushu is definitely where one enjoys good food, chills, and enjoys the nature! Since you're a frequent Japan traveller, no doubt you'll make your way there one day! If you can pick one place only, which's your most favourite spot in Japan and why :)?
@@Curious_Nomster Tokyo definitely. We love big cities and Tokyo and NY are our favorite cities on earth. We have some Japanese friends who live there as well. It’s hard to pinpoint why I love Tokyo - I just enjoy being there, walking there, taking the subway etc
Haa I can understand why, there is SO MUCH to do in Tokyo! I still remember how we were still excitingly strolling around even when the weather was absolutely disgusting😂! Tokyo is the city where I fell in love with convenience store food too! Hope to see some clips on your channel about your KR and JP trip👍
@@Curious_Nomster now there’s real pressure to deliver both a trip to Kyushu and some content as well lol - It’s kind of weird how this social media works. Mostly I do videos because I think it’s fun for me. And usually maybe 200-300 watches so it’s a really really small channel. But it takes a bit of time and planning (as you know) to fix a video - and then a video of our 1sr trip to Tokyo in 99 that might have been my fastest edit ever is by far the most watched. By far! Kind of weird. Anyways I’ll be following your RUclips channel and Insta account from now on! It looks fun!

So glad I inspired you friend, not many people can say they've enjoyed a "hot sand bath" in their life, so go for it 😎
Are there any other awesome spots in Kyushu I've missed in this series?
😎Share in the comment section below so we could check them out next!😎

@@Curious_Nomsterthanks again! Much appreciated! 😊
We just got back from a road trip and Kyushu Road trip (November 2023). We loved it, it's my favourite place in Japan.
Honestly, you get to experience A LOT more by driving! Though being in public transport in Japan is a whole other experience 😂
Which are you favourite parts of Kyushu Leigh?

@@ShaneNixonFamily absolutely, as well as the north of Japan 😄✌️
@@Curious_Nomster Yes! That is the dilemma. Next time it will either be Tohoku or Okinawa. Or maybe both 😂
