Great haul. Those types of sales are my favorite. When I can help out an organizaion like the Scouts, etc. I don't mind paying a little more than I normally would. And Church sales are great, as well. Good idea to hang on to the legos for a while. They do only seem to go up in value. My son had a bunch and I wish I had known that when I got rid of them. lol Those bowls your dad got weren't Pyrex, those were corning.. Still a good pick up. I have a lot of that style I inherited from my mom and I love them. They were her veggie bowls and now they are my veggie bowls. Willow hasnt been in a video in a while. Need a Willow fix please. lol Thanks for another great video.

My 14 year old has adhd so when she gets in that mood I have her work on the legos for me. 😅 keeps her mind busy and helps me out at the same time.

Use bar keepers' friend (like comet; but better. and a green scouring pad on that pan and it will look like new. It will clean the copper and make it shine. Not much work you don't have to scrub very much at all. Also the stainless steel will be shiny.

Look in the back of the instruction books on the Lego Sets. Usually there is a list of the parts so you don't actually have to put them together.

I’d stash those friends sets. I think that’s a good idea since they are a soft resell right now. I have boxes of loose Legos to make complete sets too because you never know. Lego sets are becoming rare to find in my area at yard sales and thrift stores.

Hire a couple of kids to put the legos together. Always pull on mug handles to see if they have a hairline crack at the top (it looks like you did that, but I'm not sure). Sourcing with your Dad. How cool is that?! ❤

My Google pixel 6 phone had a camera symbol next to the Mic symbol that when you take a picture of something you want to know its value. It will do an automatic search for it. Or something similar.

@@beardedthriftmachine How do you write off expenses when you are paying cash? Garage sales don't give receipts so does the IRS allow you to deduct the purchase price of your inventory as business expense?
Just a heads up, the plural of Lego is Lego, not LEGOS. Also, Lego has a great ROI and is better than many actual retirement plans. I sold a Lego Architecture set of Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water for $275 a few months back. I bought it years ago (8 ish) for retail price, opened it but never fully assembled it.

Wow. You are in a good area for thrifting. There is nobody there. These types of sales where I live will have a line waiting outside the doors before it opens that goes around the building. EVERYTHING good gets nabbed in the first 2 minutes. No point in even showing up unless you arrive really early in the morning, camp out, stake your spot in line and are the first person in the doors. Even then, you got like 2 minutes before the place is swamped and only the junk is left. I pretty much stopped attending these types of sales. Too competitive where I'm at. That being said. Lego haul was cool. Impressed you got the price down.
How can you tell vintage from contemporary? Do you just go by what the sets are (Frozen, HP, etc.)? Is there any actual difference between the blocks themselves? Thanks for all of the info.

Resellers never talk about checking the dates on printer ink. Folks, do yourselves a favor and check the dates.
ive sold exp ones before no problem - thats why i never check the date
Depends on the ink. Expensive inks will sell if they're expired, less expensive ones won't as well.
I wouldn't be drinking out of that cooler club. Most golfers use them to pee in , & n ok t drink out of.😂😂😂
