I just like the robes on Luke, it suits him a lot. The cloak is nice, but I'm probably just gonna have it at his feet, tossed away before a fight.

Will somebody tell Todd McFarlane that it's not the 80s anymore and no one gives two sh**s about trading cards? And to make it worse, he now doubles down on the idea by including a plastic trading card holder along with the card, both of which go straight into the trash for most people.

The off-looking Luke head doesn’t bother me too much since he’ll have the hood on in the display. I’ve always wanted a Riddler figure but dang the price is pretty high for what’s being offered. Sometimes I wish the DC characters weren’t always limited to specific story appearances so maybe they could have more accessories. In general, I’m kind of worried about the rising prices of figures, so we just pick our favorites and hope for sales for the rest.
I think that's kind of the draw for the DC figures, building out that specific storyline. Plus it allows Medicom to bounce around stories so they can make different versions of main characters.
I think figuarts got the luke face spot on, yes the figure is not the outfit from the mandalorian but I'm fine with that until someone gives us a book of boba fett version, hopefully one that can do those meditation poses, i don't know why but I really like it when Luke is just there sitting and concentrated
I can agree with all that. In fact, that Figuarts Luke is on the shelf, better than most of the other ROTJ Lukes. And I just got Black Series Grogu training Luke for $17 at Target, price finaly matched what I was seeing. That'll do for now until we get a better one.

This is a great week for DC! Animal Man's boot tops bum me out, but I'm still grabbing him! Red Tornado is probably just being made to go with Young Justice, but it's neat that he gets a figure. The texture on Owlman's costume looks really good. Now, Wonder Woman, that's the one I *need!* I'm cool with the metallic, that's just Wonder Woman's look to me. Mafex Riddler looks good, but is pretty whelming. Like, he doesn't come with much, despite the jump in price compared to recent pre-orders Mafex have put up. I'll still get him, because that's my favourite Riddler look (other than how handsome he is, but that's just Jim Lee's style), but... you know, I won't be as happy about it! So... take that, Mafex! Along with my money!
I just can't get into McFarlane DC stuff. They don't scale well with my 1:12 scale figs, and I have more of them than I do any other scales. Plus every single McFarlane DC fig looks like it's in Diapers! I would kill to get a proper 1:12 scale Batman or Super Man to go up against Cap or Hulk, or put together a proper Justice League vs Avengers or X Men!! But I can't get over the size difference or the Diapers!
Mafex Luke is accurate, but still prefer SHF with its aesthetics and look. This Mafex looks wonky as if it was designed by Revoltech, the articulation points are too edgy.
The thing that hurts me about the Jokerized Batgirl is that its so close to my ideal Batgirl figure. C'mon Todd, give me the Batgirl of Burnside repaint
Knowing about something nerdy through other nerdy pursuits, but not actually reading/watching it is called "nerd osmosis". I only know about Grendel solely through Wizard magazines too lol. I used to love the fights they had between characters that would never meet, (Death Battle) before the youtube era.

Mafex Luke is accurate, but still prefer SHF with its aesthetics and look. This Mafex looks wonky as if it was designed by Revoltech, the articulation points are too edgy.

Knowing about something nerdy through other nerdy pursuits, but not actually reading/watching it is called "nerd osmosis". I only know about Grendel solely through Wizard magazines too lol. I used to love the fights they had between characters that would never meet, (Death Battle) before the youtube era.
