You just took the cotter pin out lossened the axle nut and re tightened it? It doesnt need torqued? Im a little lost was your car making noise in the bearing and did it go away?
The placement of that jackstand giving me anxiety. I never put it near the curve of the frame like that on my 720 (very similar). That's also not a "castle nut", but rather a nut retainer. Ever done ball joints on this truck? There's your castle nut. Where you have to line it up for the cotter pin to pass through the top of the castle nut through the hole on the ball joint stud. Last point, you're supposed to replace the cotter pin. People will argue that, but better off being safe when it deals with suspension (tie rods, ball joints, idler arms, etc ) and wheel hubs/spindles.
Yeah but it only starts making noise at 10-15mph so I can’t spin it that fast lol. I don’t think it’s the transmission but I’m going to raise the rear end up and see if it still makes the noise when I get on it tomorrow. If so, I know I’ll have to tear into the driveline. If not, I’ll replace the bearing or tighten the nut up
Beatrice the Miata tore into it today, there was a round piece of metal spinning where the driveshaft meets the transmission. It fell out when I pulled the driveshaft so it doesn’t make a sound now
Hey man I just got a hardbody and I guess the truck originally comes with drums ? And mine has disc brakes just like you all around and I took them off and went to an oreillys and they couldn't figure out what goes on the truck same with autozone. What size rotors do you have and where do you go to get them ? Also I need to find a fuel pump the hole cage and all I can buy the pump but it's rare i guess to get the whole cage and stuff. Help pls
@@beatricethemiata8565 yo I just wanna say thank you so much for the help. I've been looking for rotors for a while and couldn't find anything. You were right on the money it was the isuzu or whatever pick up truck brake kit. I got a Nissan frontier fuel pump modified it myself and it bolted up. I had to change the wiring on it but that was about it. Anyways thank you again you are the man
@@beatricethemiata8565 oh another question. I wanna lower my truck pretty low with some camber in the front. Are there any shocks or coils I can just pull off a Honda or something like that and put on and get me real low?
Ford pinto shocks I think. Bell tech has some stuff but it's expensive. I think Honda shocks might work, some guy here used them but I don't remember which ones. Turn ur torsion bars way down also
I’m wondering why you were going to need a vacuum tester and coolant funnel for the wheel bearings? 😂

What size is the zoket for tight the bearings?
I'm lost what did you replace?
Nothin, I just tightened the bearings

where are all the bolts holding your hub to the rotor
On the back side. Gotta take the whole assembly off. They're 14mm I think??
Did you really say a cut off wheel for a cotter pin🤦🏻♂️😂
I’m wondering if this is the culprit to my problem. It sounds like a bunch of washers spinning whenever I’m going down the road
Can u Jack it up safely and spin the wheel?

Right on. Keep me posted lol u might also listen in on the drive shaft carrier bearing

Nice! Good find. 😁😁
