I have OCD, and I've often been struck by the similarity between OCD and superstitious behaviors, to the point of wondering if maybe OCD is part of how superstitions develop. I follow superstitions sometimes, even though the logical part of my brain thinks they have no validity. I think it's just out of compulsion. It feels the same as my other compulsive behaviors.
