I think if u look at the laws of migration that changed after the Indian subcontinent joined the commonwealth. Britain immediately changed immigration std. Australia, New Zealand South Africa whites were fine. They were ex pats. Indians they were immigrants

@@michaelmcgee335 Yes. The same thing is happening in africa (ANTI-lgbt laws are being passed all over africa right now). one is about to be passed in my country (Ghana). This stems from christianity and homophobic laws being imposed on africans by europeans during the colonial era as well as (in recent years) far-right christian evangelicals from the U.S. going to african countries (and romania, hungary, and others) and pushing for anti-lgbt laws. basically trying to export homophobia/transphobia to vulnerable countries since they know it no longer flies in the west. Many african tribes have a well-documented history of sexual and gender fluidity pre colonial era. But this history has been eroded/being ignored due to brainwashing of africans with homophobia. Now african leaders are claiming that being LGBT is a white/western thing that the west is trying to force on africans (which is ironic). African leaders also claim christianity as being african while demonizing traditional african religions. Many of the problems we are seeing today stem from white supremacy/colonialism/racism.

I don't know if anybody else is just now getting to this. This is my first time hearing and seeing this. I have trouble understanding what someone is saying when they speak and need to read along to truly understand the weight of their words when they speak of something as serious as human rights and systemic racism. If anyone out there is like me in that regard, I have written out a rough transcript of what was said.
I think that, when we talk about race, we tend to focus on individual acts of prejudice. Which is why UKIP often comes up, because they
overtly say stuff that we find offensive. Unfortunately, the issue of race, if we understand it, is a lot more insidious and it takes a
lot more of a historical view to understand the difference between individual bias, and structural racism and privilege. The idea of
Great Britain was intimately tied to the fact that Britain's invaded almost every country on the Earth, literally. Literally, there is a
map; you can Google it. The idea of our greatness was intimately tied to this idea of empire, which was initimately tied to what Roger
Kipling calls the "white man's burden": to go and "civilize" all these stupid brown folks who have been writing and having civilizations
for thousands of years. But let's forget all of that. If we fast forward to today, when we talk about structural racism in Britain, do
we have the same instutional disparities in rates of imprisonment that they have in America? Yes, absolutely we do. Do we have the same
disparities in terms of who's dying to police custody? Yes indeed we do.
In 2011, we were told we love Libyans so much, we wanted to bomb democracy into them. Less than five years later, we're leaving people
fleeing the same conflict to drown in the sea, while giving a woman space in the national newspaper to refer to them as "cockroaches".
When you refer to humans as cockroaches, that is a mandate for murder. Let's be clear about that. The moment human beings become non-human,
that is a mandate for murder and there's a long historical parallel for that. Today, with Germany, the country that bombed this country
(the UK) in our grandparent's lifetimes, so theoretically the grandchildren of Nazis can get in and out of England easier than the grandchildren
of people from the Commonwealth who fought against the Nazis. Where do they come from?
When we talk about immigrants, do we mean people from Australia and New Zealand? Didn't Boris Johnson go to Australia and say, "Hey, we're
culturally the same!", was he talking about the Aborigines when he said that? "We call them expats". Right, why people have such a different
way of classifying that white immigrants are expats and non-white immigrants are immigrants. So when we say immigrants, if we go to a border
control, we can go there, Yarl's Wood, and we look at who is there, it's not a bunch of white people from New Zealand. So we have structural
forms of privilege and bias that are much more insidious and much more difficult to overcome, and the reaction to Africans and Asians coming
here post WW2, to rebuild the country after the Queen's German cousins bombed it, the reaction to them was one of general hatred. It's
illogical! These people, who had formerly been colonized by Britain, had fought in both World Wars -- India gave 2.5 million volunteers for
those who don't know -- talking about being "saved by America", when being saved by India and Russia, that would be a bit more accurate.
But that's a bit inconvenient. The reaction to those people and their descendants has been one that is about structural bias and privilege.
The greatest metaphor for this might be Canary Wharf and Tower Hamlets. If you look at that primarily Bengali community that has to look at
Canary Wharf every day, how many people work in Canary Wharf other than cleaning toilets? "I want to get into that, through grain(?), wasn't
a grain rate, because they're all rapping about E-14, what's that? Canary Wharf?"
I suppose what I'm saying is, it's not about saying there is -- there's bias and bigotry everywhere in the world. The country my parents
come from, it's pretty much generally accepted that they don't like gay people. But what's interesting, race even plays a role in that.
In Jamaica, we have disgraceful homophobia. No one ever says it's because of Christian fundamentalism - even though it is justified and
explicity Christian fundamentalist terms, because only Muslims do bad stuff because of their religion, because we know almost all the Muslims
in the world are brown. Whereas a Germanwings pilot crashes and kills 150 people deliberately, or the man in Norway killed nearly 90 people,
I was in Australia when that happened. There was this uniform agreement that white people will be portrayed differently. The Australian media
referred to Anders Breivik having "terrorist-like tactics". I mean, to think about it. This guy killed almost 100 people, and he's just
almost the terrorist. "And he'd written a crazy thing about Muslims". I mean he was a terrorist, by my understanding, but the idea that White
is Right isn't just a European idea, it's an idea that has insidious implications because no matter what, the 700 people that were left to
drown off the coast of the Mediterranean, were they white human beings, they wouldn't have been left to drown, and they certainly wouldn't
    be called cockroaches.

The same principles applies to the attitude towards migrants we take in from geo politics and wars. For example, when the war in Ukraine began, Britain accepted Ukrainian immigrants. Most British people had empathy for them and welcomed them. When china took Hong Kong, or recent attacks on gaza, the narrative is " ah it's sad but we can't take them in. Our country is over run". And this is from people who aren't directly racist. Racism lies in the subconscious before it reaches the surface.

Great Britain was great because it was the extension of the original French Britain, and it was used first as a term by King James the 1st to refer to the united lands of England, Scotland and Ireland. Yes he started the Irish Colonization but "civilize the savages" was not really a thing until the late 19th century, which is why the White Man's burden was published in 1899. That's an anachronistic analysis shaped by today's political landscape.

It leads to victimhood, segregation, violence pseudo-science and revers racism or anti-racial racialism.
Akala speaks so fast the onley point he is making is ;whites don't care for non-whites. His last example was why weren't the refugee's not saved by whites ?
The real question is why didn't non-whites the dominant group is this region didn't care about their brothers and sisters and the esential question why are almost all refugees non-whites and migrating to white europe ? The refugees at that time were more than 50% trans-sahara migrants not from a warzone.
