- When a staff member tried to enforce the Arlington cemetery rules, a Trump campaign aide got physical with her, shoving her aside. However, that worker declined to press charges because she “feared Trump’s supporters pursuing retaliation,” according to the New York Times.

The regulations at Arlington, as with other national cemeteries, are crystal clear and any honorable person would observe them without hesitation. The violation of those regulations was depraved in every way, and there is nothing that can possibly excuse the desecration.
