I really loved this movie. Definitely not perfect but it’s a lot of fun and gives us the stuff we were wanting to see for a Mario movie. The amount of references and little details were amazing. Love the music and animation, the scene with Mario and Luigi using the power star made me feel emotional. Get well soon Kate. 💫
The whole "I am a princess but nobody is above me" remind me of a funny parody in Slayers franchise: prince Philionel El Di Saillune rule the country, is in his 40s,with 2 daughters and he is still a prince just because his father is still alive(has been in a coma for god knows how many years)

i'm a big believer in letting things roominnate, something a lot of shows that are binged lose, cause people will burn through a show and move on to the next one, without taking in everything the show has to offer, for better or worse. I grew up with shows premiering on a Friday or Saturday typically would watch it, talk to friends about it through the week, then before the next ep would rewatch the last ep so it'd be fresh in my mind

It's way better than the original, and even though it has it's problems/moments, it does contain more fan service/stays more faithful to the source material. In regards to the casting of Mario and Luigi I found myself liking Charlie Day as Luigi more than I did Chris Pratt as Mario which isn't me saying Pratt was bad cause I do see a good performance trying to get out but there's an aspect to how Day portrays Luigi where you can tell he knew he was working with a limited amount of character spotlight and tried to get the most he could out of Luigi's time on screen

9:00 - The Mario movie is living proof that professional movie critics are a dying breed, and that modern moviegoers just aren't interested in the boring slow moving and awkward plots movies need to have to please those critics. We don't need a movie to spend 2 hours reminding us how much the world sucks, when we can just turn on the news and get our fix of it that way. Movies are supposed to allow us to get away from that, and many modern movies severely miss that mark. That is why people aren't going to movies anymore. This is no big secret. It's just a basic obvious truth that you only need two working eyes to see. Critics refuse to admit this because they are either in severe denial, or because they're getting paid big money to promote the crap that nobody is interested in.
The scene where they go underwater/underground to stop a pressure control valve from going off would have been the perfect time to do a Scapelli joke referencing the first film. I know that the Og Mario movie is terrible but it’s still a campy B-movie with family and friends, and it’s a shame no one made that connection aside from the Nostalgia Critic. Every scene felt like it was cut by about 2 seconds. You can even see this in the trailers where some scenes go longer. It leads to most scenes just cutting to the next instead of transitioning to the next.

I second Nick watching Signs. I admit I might be biased, it was one of the first horror-adjacent films I ever watched as a kid and I loved it. Saw it in theaters, and thought it was so cool. 3rd good videogame movie. Don't forget about Detective Pikachu. I liked everything about the movie. Including Cranky Kong. I have no connection to him prior. I kinda wish they would've used the version of Rainbow Road from the 3DS, but not as many people are familiar with that one. That's my favorite portrayal. You get to drive on both the moon and Saturn's rings.
I've seen the Japanese dub of this movie and I have to say: - Luigi's voice is even better than Charlie Day's voice in English - Jack Black is still the greatest (though the Japanese voice actor does a good job) - And Cranky Kong is definitely way better than in English! - The rest of the cast is as good as in English

I would not be in favor of the big screen with small cameras. For one, I think your style of the small screen is your style, and it sets you apart. Secondly, your small quips and laughs make more sense when you can see where everyone is seated (not talking about the longer tangents, but the short things) and I think it would kill the organic nature of your reactions. And thirdly, I myself am always thoroughly annoyed when large parts of the video are blocked off by cameras, since some jokes happening in the corners of the screen just don't translate when you can't see them. TL;DR, I am skeptical, but we'll see what happens.
Renegade seems to pause and give commentary frequently regardless of the content ive seen from them (albiet, it's mostly been reddit readings). It's basically their thing, and it's not everyone's forte. (Thats okay)

Renegade seems to pause and give commentary frequently regardless of the content ive seen from them (albiet, it's mostly been reddit readings). It's basically their thing, and it's not everyone's forte. (Thats okay)
@@GedanJ I know. I don't have a problem with them pausing the video from time to time, but sometimes it feels a bit too frequent. Pausing the video too much just kinda hurts the viewing experience, you know?
@@russmastermasterofrusses7463 yeah. It definitely deserves moderation, pause for thoughts, but not every minute maybe? It really depends. Something short? Sure, perhaps. Longer videos? Maybe try to hold it off in spurts so it isnt crowding the video and making it a decent fraction longer.
