Brave and therapeutic to open up like that! Don't be so hard on yourself. You are beautiful. I have two unexpected family member stories. I'd love to share them with you sometime.
Your whole crazy world was turned upside down... it’s no wonder you feel dizzy and somewhat confused. You are a lovely girl. If it’s possible to just take notes, make a spreadsheet or chart with your old reality and now your new reality... it might help you make sense of it... or to figure out what the next step is. Good luck. You aren’t alone and your openness will help so many in the same boat. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Monica. Thanks for your story. It happened to me and you're the first person's story I've heard. Confirmed it with my father today. Been crying all day. Intellectually nothing has changed, but emotionally I'm all tore up. Read a good article from Psychology Today and the word they can best describe the feeling is "severance" from your roots. I won't use FB so they wouldn't even lead me into any direction. Would love to get in touch if you don't mind.
I am so much better now! It will get better. I am dealing with a family emergency now. We can talk soon. Deep breaths and know that none of this is YOUR fault, you didn't ask for it and eventually, hopefully some happiness will come out of it:) Chin Up!!:)
It gets easier. Are you on FB support group? Look up Bradley Hall, he was my Savour and I took a trip to Arkansas in October which was so amazing . Met Catherine that started the group and many good people. I'm here for you!:)
Hi, yes, I've met alot of the family except one of the half brothers that I think im alot like!:) We are pretty Goofy and like to party!:) It was a mixed feeling of emotions , I feel much better now. Definately join the FB page and look for Bradley Hall. I went to Arkansas back in October for the NPE trip and it was really great. Im here for you if you need to talk.
Hi Monica! Vulnerability isn’t easy but it’s amazingly cathartic. I know the strength and courage it takes to speak your truth. Great job. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Hang in there girl!😊 Such a tough thing.
Thank you!! Thanks for listening!:)
