Warning for those who are just starting to watch this drama, you will NOT like the ML /Emperor at all. He was also partially at fault and so fickle. Even after getting the FL, he still favors other women😡. The revenge is satisfying and she stays ahead for the whole drama👏👏👏

I understand why she stayed. It was not about her being in love with ML (which I believe she wasn't) but because she wanted to make a difference. If she had left, he would have obviously replaced her with someone else who might be more evil than the other concubine.😅
Emperor wants many women in Harem those practice was common in that time and women wants power and fame, wealth so both parties are same. If Emperor bad those women also not good

I recommend this one's good to watch. it's not about romance, but revenge for FL's mom's unjust death by concubine. I like the part that Emperor is not that loyal to FL, so she doesn't forget why she's in palace for.
這個女主角演古裝比較沒有那麼稚氣的感覺，我覺得很適合～她演現代反而像太像小孩；感覺跟男主角像父女
像父女就對了, 皇帝是比女主年齡大很多, 你看麗貴妃都已三十, 已有白髮, 皇帝起碼都過三十吧! 而女主就只是十來歲.

這部真的好看！！大推~~沒有嘴炮，沒有太多情情愛愛和腦殘的狗血劇情，只有鬥智鬥勇，更是沒有拖泥帶水的劇情，而且女主美,惡毒女二更是演得讓人生氣，兩個演技都很好，更沒有草草結束的爛尾，壞人都有報應，讚！

FLd is so smart and intelligent she was the only one who rely cares about people..As for the emperor he was just a lusty man who doesn't care about anything else but woman..He was equally responsible for those bad things his women did..But for the people she choose to stay an made changes in laws..worth watching..FLd is beautiful..

This is a great “Harem Fight/Revenge-plot”-story with good actors and a strong revenge-arc. I don’t watch many Harem Fight stories, but this one is my kind of story. I loved this cunning/clever/manipulative FL who executed her plans meticulously but I really disliked the lecherous/incapable ML who depended on women to secure his throne and deal with his Harem issues. The ending somewhat made up for that. Definitely worth watching.
SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!!
In ancient times, FL’s mother was a midwife who was unjustly killed in the Palace after assisting at Imperial concubine Li’s birth of a daughter. The one responsible for her death was Imperial concubine Li herself, a vain and vicious woman with several murders on her conscience. Since she is the most favored and powerful concubine, she gets away with everything she does.
Five years later, FL enters the Palace as a maid in order to avenge her mother. She successfully inserts herself into concubine Li’s Palace and carefully carries out her plans to bring down this horrible woman, starting with the powerful woman in charge of the staff in concubine Li’s Palace - the woman who executed concubine Li’s orders to kill all the servants involved in her birth back then, personally killing FL’s mother. And then she rains havoc in the Harem.
Well, this has a satisfying, happy ending.

I don't know. I feel like letting the FL leave would have been the best ending for me. As much as I understand why she chose to stay. But staying with that dumb guy is just a waste of her life. She should have left and allowed herself to fall in love with a guy who truly loved her. That dude (ML) has no love for anyone but himself. As soon as he sees someone prettier he's gone. Zero loyalty
First of all, historically speaking, the only way she could leave is same way as her mother. And she didn't waste her life at all, maybe love life only but emperor wasn't a monster just because he has many cocumbines as any other men in that dynasty or because he loved mother of his childrem, the woman he spend 10 Years with.

And I think she was smart enough to pull it off if she wanted to. And no, I did not say he was a monster. I simply said he had no loyalty. I also have no problem with him and his other wives. However it is a huge red flag though that when he meets another woman he ditches the one he is with.
If you are wondering if you should watch this. Do it. This film was perfect. Revenge was perfect. FL a was perfect, even the evil villain was perfect foul.

This is a very good revenge drama. The FL looks weak but she is intelligent, strong and filled with empathy for the oppressed. All actors are very well casted, including the villian concubine. Great majestic sets. They paid a lot of attention to the hair, make up, accessories and costumes. I especially like the part where each family member take a stab at the villian concubine. Overall a very good watch. Highly recommended!

I’m not gonna lie, I like this drama 🎭 at first, the ML for me was unlike able but then idk about anyone else but he was growing on me and I just felt that he would be like able for me yes I know he couldn’t handle the harem and all but at least he gave the FL a chance of success for survival. That is just me.
