I like how indifferent the FL was to the ML for most of the drama. It was really the best revenge she could've done. She made him feel how she felt before her rebirth and let him agonize for quite a while
I doubt he felt anywhere near as bad as she did.. The people of the palace tried to assassinate her every time they found an opportunity, She was crippled half a year after moving into the palace, The man she loved not only hated her and looked at her as if he were disgusted, he was also in love with the mistress and made no secret of it... The most he suffered was her indifference and she even did that with kindness.. He didn't deserve her or her forgiveness and I'm glad she didn't go back to him in the end.
This rebirth had FL take control of her life and situations to save herself, her family, and her country. As she said, at least this rebirth wasn't in vain (2:31:00). That story development was great. The complication is her relationship with the ML. In her previous life, she died and ML crown prince failed to protect her. The scene where he watched her burn was hard to forgive, but I'm not sure if that was a real scene or her hallucination during the fire because ML was supposed to have been away on mission at the time. Regardless of that scene, ML's indifference contributed to her death. Some commentors mentioned the indifference was to protect her, which clearly was a failed strategy. In the rebirth life, ML did fall in love with FL, even before he realized she was his childhood friend, but that was because she was different. In her previous life, she became disabled on her way to the palace due to an attempted assassination. In the rebirth life, she avoided all the assassination attempts because of prior knowledge. I'm glad she left him, but I'm not sure I liked their reunification. I understand it's not fair for ML to suffer for something he didn't do because he has no knowledge of the previous life. ML was not a cruel person like other abusive dramas. Given the era, it's understandable the crown prince would need to manipulate people and situations. However, FL does have the knowledge and some scars last across life times. I don't know. A lot of commenters like the reunification. I'm just saying that if you're given a chance for rebirth, start over. Don't stay entangled in the unhappiness of the past life.

I luv this version of the FL in this rebirth drama, cool-calm-collected, strong, and wise through and through. this female lead "Yu-er" short drama production since Kuaishou platform (douyin but alternate version) has always been unique and beautiful, even after 4 yrs she still kept that standard, despite being 30+ age but she looked like she never aged even a bit
The kind of ending that I like. Not that simply easy to accept the ML back, yet give him some sort of retribution for their past life before they can finally reunite after some duration of time, especially since in this life he has already shown a lot of efforts, giving a lot of assistance to make him worthy of her love. The costumes are all amazingly GORGEOUS - the clothes, the accessories, their makeups and also the hair-dos. The ones that I’ve seen in other dramas seems twice good-looking here with their pretty makeups.
Those transmigrated females didn’t actually experienced such tragic end like get killed and whole country destroyed, so they much more easier to forgive than the female lead here. The reason the female lead attracted him in this life because she shines with her skills and intelligence and not really caring about him. It seems in most of these movies/drama, you need to be less caring and more like cold face in order to attract love.
The production might not that expensive but the story line is great .... Impressive. I love how the lead actress played her role cold heartedly. An alpha female indeed. She's alse very beautiful. The lead actor is so handsome. He did great also. Love the ending even more...

照短劇套路本來以為女主看到玉佩後會戀愛腦直接原諒男主。
