Okay, mine is driving and it just straight dies. And then I can hear ticking in the Fuse box under my hood of my Ford expedition 2008 when I take the starter relay out. You're taking in the fuse box on the passenger side, Flipboard.
07 Expedition XLT with advanced trac owner here. Had the same issue, luckily at home, just changed out 10A fuse location 36 (PCM) fuse box in engine bay and 20A fuse location 27 (ignition switch) in passenger footwell location. For my vehicle this solved the issue, at very least to continue driving.
Nothing positive to say so I’ll 5th. But damn. 08 Ford expedition. I have a no start with the key from the ignition but it will start with my aftermarket remote control. Any suggestions?
if you already checked fuses and the battery has charge is the starter has finished his life time or is stuck, you only have to replace it with a new one
If it don't start check fuses check relay if it's grounding to vehicle or loose wires. If it cranks but won't start then leave alone 30 mins or so cranks then starts it's crankshaft position sensor. If you get a click like trying to engage starter but won't crank it's a bad starter. Saved you 15 minutes of mind numbing and talking about 5 different experiences in less than a minute your welcome.
This was painful to live through. Please try writing yourself a script and learn how to edit out the unnecessary chatter and "Ummmmm" pauses. The world loves to share information and your experience is appreciated, but delivery is everything. The sirens and dogs are distracting and annoying.
