man i wish there were more people like this guy. his entire mission in life is to resurrect old bikes and make what some people consider a pile of scrap into a bike that ppl love and want to ride. this dude rocks!
It's not about the culture, it's about a guy and his work on the racers. The music reflects his love for the bikes and his journey in refurbishing them, not about hanging out with a bunch of other guys riding. The music works.
tip-of-my-hat to the efforts of Dustin Kott and film crew. captured the interaction of builder to bike -- genius to genius i am a passionate gearhead here in missouri. i need the visual of this film to feed me. it gets lonely out here . . . to the guy watching this 2x a day . . . understood.
I've watched this 4 times now. Dustin; your work is inspiring. Every time I work on my bike I'm reminded what you said, "no two designs are the same." It reminds me to just build, be creative, and expose the bikes soul. Keep up the good work!
When the narrator is talking about how hes grown up with hot rod influence but is infatuated by Cafe style motorcycles, I understand where he's coming from. I am the same way.
Most of the time, i don't like the modern look of Cafe racers. But he got skills, vision and nice looking bikes. And this from an American. Keep up the good work. (Y)
Yes smoking kills, but whatever gives you a thrill, pleasure usually is unhealthy. Extreme sports, fast ride, alcohol etc. I am smoking person and my advice to everyone is do not start and taste it. Otherwise you might really enjoy it. Great piece of movie dude! I am building a café racer myself right now and I understand what are You talking about😉😀!
Im a Limey And ITS THE 1950s-60 OVER Here That was The ROCKERS ERA !!!ie The GOLD STAR !!!and TRITON & DOMMIE Racer ???WAS the KINGS !!!Of The Road !!!and The TON UP !!!BOY WAS the TOP MAN !!!LOOK Up DRESDA AUTOS And ROCKERS Era 😁😂g
Awesome video! And very well written narration. Those of who build these cafe racers know exactly what you mean, even if some of us aren't as quick or skilled as you.. Lol
I agree with you not the above comment. There are many aspects of the cafe racer culture but the most important aspect is our passion for the motorcycle and the experience that comes along with riding a beautiful (your definition of it) machine.
forget the haters,,,, Dustin you are the man and have "THE" vison. @atilliar,, dude do some reserch, you are tripping on the words,,, Cafe racer means just that, racing from Cafe to Cafe in the 50's rocker lifestyle google "Ace Cafe"..... @ Dustin Kott, Keep up the good work, and gr8 Vid man
Ironically those of us old enough who had parent that built these "new" (Gen-Xers), built streetfighters. If y'all love naked, raw, and unforgiving; just wait until trends change and you strip an old GSX-R 1100 late 80's style.
hey guys, i'm from austria, i will build a cafe racer and i looks many videos every day but this is the greatest cafe racer video that i have ever seen. My question is: is that a HONDA CB 750 Four and is the gas tank original?
Noah Richardson, it sounds like a 'crotch rocket' because its a 4 inline with , mostly lightly straight-throu... and probably slightly distorted sound due to recording.Ever watch Mad max 1 where the zed's had scaffold poles as pipes- awesome sound.
Yes, yes and yes, it's the same Konzept, driving only with the Parts youre real need, on 2 (3 with sidecar) or 4 Wheels. Sorry my english is not very well. Greetings from germany
The world has 4 clowns in it if you do not like caferacers watch some thing else it's a cafe racer thing you do not have to understand just enjoy what people build and enjoy as a caferacer. This guy builds a classic bike build what you like not what others like cafe racers rock this planet
Cool bikes, LOL just like anything else, people will tend to over dramatize their passion. A good hamburger could not be how it is with out some cheese and that's how a lot of these videos are LOL.
There is an evolution process, ah, that takes place... because, the idea, is to, is to create a machine that has only what it needs, to exist... to work, to run.
That's like saying you can't make a bobber out of a honda because it's not a harley. Both bikes work efficiently to different buyers. Matter of preference my friend, so no learning here.
Obviously you don't understand what a cafe racer is. Cafe racers were a way to make the bikes of the day perform better than stock. They were attempts to get bikes on the level of the gp bikes of that day. Fairings were a way to improve the aerodynamics of the bikes to make them run faster. Cafes weren't an exercise in art but function. Maybe the words have you a bit tripped up forget about the word cafe and start thinking RACER as in race bike as in upgrading the suspension, wheels and so on.
+Ryan Baldrey Depends on how the racer was built and I don't mean aesthetics necessarily. If the air box is cut up, missing, etc... in order to make the bike run richer (and in some cases look better - i.e. hollow mods) than the moment it rains your going to blow a gasket eventually. If you keep the integrity of the bike intact than I don't see why not? The rest is personal preference. Food for thought.
May be a bit uncomfortable, i have a 77 cb750 cafe and after about 2 hours max your forearms, lower back, and traps are sore af. Under 2 hours, lets roll. Ny to LA? Take 2 weeks of pto instead of 1 lol
man i wish there were more people like this guy. his entire mission in life is to resurrect old bikes and make what some people consider a pile of scrap into a bike that ppl love and want to ride. this dude rocks!
Mad respect for this guy's builds... he's got a signature style which he somehow always manages to interpret variably
It's not about the culture, it's about a guy and his work on the racers. The music reflects his love for the bikes and his journey in refurbishing them, not about hanging out with a bunch of other guys riding. The music works.

Awesome, love seeing handmade, innovation and creativity, well done..
When the narrator is talking about how hes grown up with hot rod influence but is infatuated by Cafe style motorcycles, I understand where he's coming from. I am the same way.
i'm building my first cafe racer (and first bike) currently, and this video makes me nothing but SUPER excited to get my project finished.... amazing

Honda's are fucking legendary 🤩❤️🔥❤️🔥
It is a cafe racer. It has an inline four cylinder. All inline fours sounds like that.
👍👍👍ich will ab sofort auch ein Café Cowboy sein .👍👍👍.winnecaferacer.

I thought your hot rod / cafe racer comparison was spot on but never heard at before
Really nice film.
I really enjoyed it.

Awesome video and very nice fabricating skills, please keep up the good work

Very inspiring video. Greetings from Holland.
Brilliant...thanks for uploading this by the way
WHAT I NEED TO BUILD A CAFE RACER? WHAT ARE THE BASIC AND UNTOUCHABLE REQUIRES TO BUILD ONE ,for example HAVE TO A HONDA AND WHAT ENGINE MUST HAVE?CC?
a lot more, i lived and breather the cafe era,
Very nice work, I love my Triumph bonneville cafe racer !!!
inline four with a 4 into 1 header sounds like that, even more so with no baffle. I think it sounds deadly!
Sounds shite, a proper bike is a Brit twin or a thumper. Ricers don't cut it. Even the Japanese, prefer British Twins or singles.
How come there are no comments on here. This is a great video
great video. I really enjoyed it. thanks for posting!

I remember that football game. And, considering I only watch/listen to about 5 games a year thats pretty neat.
Lovely Film !!!
Sugar Bear is a legend. Dark side of town?
Pena que aqui no Brasil, não se faz moto assim, tob man...
gooood video, nice.... keep on man. keep on...
Angle grinder sparks!
We need MORE angle grinder sparks.....beards too!
How much for one of your bikes?
thats it, I quitting my job as a trucker and going back to wrenching. Fuck this shit, I wanna play with machines!
Ryders always on top ❤❤❤❤

This guy builds a classic bike build what you like not what others like cafe racers rock this planet
I see so many short films about cafe bike builders, but I never see who buys them. The market audience (urban hipsters) are usually broke!
This was very inspiring, thanks.
Cool bikes, LOL just like anything else, people will tend to over dramatize their passion. A good hamburger could not be how it is with out some cheese and that's how a lot of these videos are LOL.

Great vid mate xden
Top !
I can't see Japanese bikes as Cafe racers
Exactly need British bikes to coin the phrase cafe racer.!
There is an evolution process, ah, that takes place... because, the idea, is to, is to create a machine that has only what it needs, to exist... to work, to run.
That's like saying you can't make a bobber out of a honda because it's not a harley. Both bikes work efficiently to different buyers. Matter of preference my friend, so no learning here.
gotta love this one
nice cafe racers mate like what you do
What an amazing video.
Great video!
Its magical!
Only if he is Paul Jr Designs. I'm damn glad that show is over !!! It's a shame Discovery channel sold Cafe Racer TV to Velocity.
Great video
same intrest..difrent continent..to bad..
why does it sound more like a crotch rocket then a cafe racer
Noah Richardson Because its a inline 4 and what are sportsbikes? Inline 4s well most are....
02:06 Where can I buy these gloves?
Nice bikes xxden
Well said!
video is classy man...

Love the video, just leave the cigarettes out of them. Used to be cool about 40 years ago but looks naff now. Keep the builds going.
+Mick Sowden These bikes used to be cool about 40 years ago as well.....and now are really cool imho :)
+Adam Pogorzelski The bikes are cool the cigarettes aren't. read the comment correctly first. Cheers.
I understood. Just wanted to say that they match themselves.
+Adam Pogorzelski Really! I'm guessing you're a smoker.
+Mick Sowden miss ;)
it aint cafe cowboy, the saying is coffee bar cowboy !!!!!!! name is from England, it was meant as an insult by the old folks.
bad ass..
And to think I was about to give up on my old cb550.
some parts are acceptable and i for example leave the seat as is..
i love this video so much, but at 6:53 camera man...just move dude
hermoso ♥
Ok, I get it, you smoke cigs...
It only has a small number of views because this is not the original uploader.
Fuck'n COOL 😎
So you actually listen .
Nice vid but you could lose the high pitched background noise.....my tinnitus is bad enough.
ROCK ON!
why is the music so dramatic? enough of this emotional crap, this is cafe racer culture. let's fuckin' ROCK!
could a person do a road trip on a racer

Quite.
👍
looks like Americans dont like negative feed back, but where do you draw the line on what you call cafe racers,
