Isn’t a scramble supposed to be random and if a side is somewhat done it’s still random n right isn’t it?
@@crusadebirb4084 Yes its still random but right now he's solving a 2x2 which is a bit different from a 3x3 because its smaller and easier so Yes its still random because even tho one side is nearly complete it doesnt always mean that its proper and you might have to move it around :)

I think the reason is that he got the same scramble three times in a row is because everybody’s getting lazy at that competition

Actually I think your right. It happened 4 or 5 times in a row. If I recall correctly isn't that the number of scrambles you get at a competition? Still someone really dropped the ball in checking the scrambles.

That 4th repeat definitely wasn't the same. Different green pattern, and different color sticker on the blue side. The only thing that's the same is the blue pattern. That could've boiled down to luck. The other 3 were the same though.
The colors are swapped, but the pattern is the same.

This is really common. It’s because, instead of getting the 4th scramble for the 5th solve, they were giving you the fifth scramble for the fourth solve, so all scrambles were gonna be the same.

For those of you who do get the same scramble, I think that the saddest thing to do is to not solve the cube. I got a DNF once because I turned it to check, which meant that the delegate couldn't make sure it the scramble was really a repeat
