I cut my surfing teeth here during the mid 70s,met some lovely people and rode some fabulous waves both here and at gwenver.( And the little cafe by the carpark done a delicious crab roll, and of coarse,a nice beer or two in the ship.)
Had a 1 to 1 lesson at Sennen last summer. Was standing after about 10 mins, mainly due to quality of the instructor from the surf school there. Beautiful area. In St Agnes in a couple of weeks and looking forward to progressing further, plus sinking some Cornish ale.
Hi Paul. Can you let me know who's playing on audio.?. I Watch All your Creations, and have shared to many other musician's, as to how naturally beautiful it is to live here n be Creative. keep them coming, as I take inspiration from Them. Especially on Cold Day's.
Having been there every summer since 1979 when I discovered Skewjack I can confirm when it's wet it is bloody wet and then when the sun comes out it is truly amazing. It's very special if you can get there for Sept and Oct when all of the holiday makers have gone and the big swells in the Atlantic push in the real surf. 86 and 87 I lived on Les and Mary land at Peace and Plenty from May through to the end of Oct and had an amazing time and saw some amazing surf - some of it big. But I've also spent 3 weeks in constant rain/fog.
Ok I barely know anything about surfing first of all but from what I researched it says that a longboard is easier to surf on for more beginners because it floats on the water a lot better than a smaller board.
Thank you @@josephsweeney1261 . I had a few lessons out in Portugal with a foam learner board that was too big to duck dive when trying to paddle out. I got pounded with this lol! To get a longboard out sounds like hard work. Boogie boarding might be the way to go.
Beautiful shots! Thank you Paul!

Harry Baker Thanks Harry
Is that a longboard? Are they easier to surf than a standard board? Apologies for the ignorance I'm from London

How cold would you say the water is here in February?
+Alissa Lyn Not sure about the temperature but there are often a lot of surfers there even during the winter. Thanks for watching ~ Paul
I'm used to Florida weather so winter surfing up there may be a shock to the senses. Thank you!
+Alissa Lyn Just found this and I'm the one on the green and red board. The water temperature isn't such an issue but the wind is something else!
45/50f
Its cold enough to freeze the ..,......its cold, but a decent wetsuit and good waves make temperature irrelevant.
Great video!
Dilious31 Thank you
What is the best time to come there? Is end of May ok?

Капитан Кастет not at then of August tho
Autumn Months i think, you'll be cold but the waves will be bigger i think.
