I miss this energy they had when they were young (no pun intended). Dave looks like he’s having such a blast. They’re still amazing today but man this was their PRIME
Sam's Town is one of the best albums I have ever heard. I love it. I hope Killers release another album like that. But of course I love all of their songs. But Sam's Town is amazing.
I've been a Killers fan forever and seen them many times in concert....Hot Fuss has always been my favorite but I think I've grown to love Sam's Town a little better1
I love both versions. I love Sam's Town so much. It's my favorite era of the Killers. Can't understand how it was so under appreciated by critics. I guess they wanted Hot Fuss Part 2 and Mr Brightside part 2. But what they did was so smart, they completely turned it around. I think critics wanted them to be some meaningless pop group outfit but they were much smarter and more ambitious than that. I'll always love and appreciate a band for having their own identity, and Sam's Town established The Killers of having their own identity for sure, and in my opinion ensuring their longevity because they're always interesting. I'm glad fans appreciate Sam's Town. And it showed that The Killers actually have a lot of talent, they weren't just one hit wonders--showed they were capable of writing good, different pop music. And Brandon can do anything with his voice
mcn625 the killers are such an influential band got me into rock started with them then smashing pumpkins oasis mettallicca slayer nirvana but as Brandon flowers says I prefer the songs more on the melodic side these heavier bands have beautiful songs to like mettallicca one, smashing pumpkins disarm, 1979 but have heavier songs that I enjoy to
My girlfriend used to play this song and dedicate it to me when she was in the Peace Corps in Mali and ran and was a DJ on a Bambara radio station before she had to be evacuated because of the civil war and I try to live up to it everyday because that's how she wanted the world to see me.
Michael Justice That tour was good, but I gotta agree. Sam’s Town was, unquestionably, their peak. In my opinion, I haven’t heard any other music that moves me like it.
Wow - Brandon Flowers looks like such a cool guy. He seems super nice and friendly but he also has this dark edge to him that makes him so alluring and interesting. Bet you could have some great conversations. He's also devilishly handsome ;)
I literally can't stop watching this performance, it is truly incredible. The Killers will go down in history as one of the greatest live bands of all time and if anyone disagrees, well they can just piss off!
Exactly! I remember listening to this album every day as I went to class, when I hear the songs it's like I'm instantly taken back to that time - it's like a time machine. It's really special.
I went to them August 2013 and I was pretty let down :( The band acted like they didn't give a shit and Brandon's voice was really hoarse. Still love the Killers when I throw their CD in the car though!
No, he didn't. Fair point. Brandon's voice didn't bother me as much as the attitude of the band. Mark played hard but he always does. Still seemed like he couldn't wait to get out of there though
best LIVE performance? i dont think so, I LOVE the killers and theyre one of my favorite bands but really i think the best band putting up a live performance is twenty one pilots, if you havent seen any of their live performances, you really should.
if you like the killers and are sick of them having 'a break' i swear get onto Bright Knights! they are amazing! i only found them recently and wanted to tell all you Killers fans!
What I love most about this song is the change-up in tempo throughout its course. Listen, and you'll hear at least four different tempos. Amazing!!!! I love The Killers....
The acoustic version is good, but this is how "Sam's Town" needs to be played. What a monster live song!
STRAIGHT FACTS!
both are great
I wish I could see this live!
I miss this energy they had when they were young (no pun intended). Dave looks like he’s having such a blast. They’re still amazing today but man this was their PRIME
I think Sam's Town is probably one of the most epic albums ever. I wish that they could have stayed exactly like this forever...they are soooooo good
Sam's Town is one of the best albums I have ever heard. I love it. I hope Killers release another album like that. But of course I love all of their songs. But Sam's Town is amazing.

Battle Born was kind of like Sam's Town lite. But Sam's is easily my favorite album of theirs.
Kianoosh M agree. I love the killers because of this album. I love all song in the sam's town.
so true
The critics don’t like it but I don’t really mind that it’s starting to get to me
This song was an oxygen mask in my 20s

mcn625 best comment
If they repeated HF they'd be criticized, if they did something different, they're criticised

With this album/tour they were at their absolute peak. The grit, energy, passion and emotion have yet to be matched.
Avery have you seen the day and age concert?
Michael Justice That tour was good, but I gotta agree. Sam’s Town was, unquestionably, their peak. In my opinion, I haven’t heard any other music that moves me like it.
I disagree. The Battle born tour kicked ass!

There is something pure and raw about this performance. Man, what a band!
Wow - Brandon Flowers looks like such a cool guy. He seems super nice and friendly but he also has this dark edge to him that makes him so alluring and interesting. Bet you could have some great conversations. He's also devilishly handsome ;)
A classic, but under appreciated album. This one goes in my book as one of THE BEST ALBUM of the decade.

The "I see london I see sam's town" should be an old drinking song that old men sing in pubs.
88. That's the number of how many times I've literally listened to this song because I'm that willingly addicted to it. AWESOME SONG!!!
I really wish I was at that concert.

Hands down. Best live performing band out there today.
I went to them August 2013 and I was pretty let down :( The band acted like they didn't give a shit and Brandon's voice was really hoarse. Still love the Killers when I throw their CD in the car though!
Babe Ruth didn't bat a 1.000.
No, he didn't. Fair point. Brandon's voice didn't bother me as much as the attitude of the band. Mark played hard but he always does. Still seemed like he couldn't wait to get out of there though
RHCP are the best live performance band, minus the vocals
best LIVE performance? i dont think so, I LOVE the killers and theyre one of my favorite bands but really i think the best band putting up a live performance is twenty one pilots, if you havent seen any of their live performances, you really should.

I love the way they did this live. One of my favorite.
Sam's Town is a local casino in Vegas. Where the Killers come from. A bit of useless info. I'm proud of Vegas talent.
TROGDOOORRR!!!
Thanks for the useless info
They're not talking about the casino. Vegas is called Sam's town after Sam Boyd. Yes, the same Sam
