I found that one a more satisfying 'complete' experience, but the world and story it tried to flesh out was just as shallow and frustrating as this one, with how nothing really...made sense. It was one of the more enjoyable walking simulators though, in that it actually had monsters who were a physical threat to the player.
I've already seen a suggestion for it but just to spread the good word, SOMA is a really great game. Lots of spookums but not nearly as over the top as fnaf etc style jumpscares, aaand has a very interesting setting. Think you bois would enjoy!
Noooo, I can't believe you guys did all that just for it to end immediately! That sucks, hahaha Still though, I really enjoyed watching you two play this game, and I quite liked the atmosphere and color scheme in this game! T'was a fun ride, indeed!
Hello, Tom! Me and my friend Nathan want to thank you again for saying hello and talking to us earlier on today. You are a fantastic person and just as awesome in person as you are in videos! We will never forget it!! Thanks again!
I'd still love to see a Deadly Premonition play. I remember Tom mentioning Twin Peaks and Deadly Premonition is Twin Peaks the Game. It's more silly than jump scary, but it's such a great game. It does have the hide from the monster aspect, but that's mainly just a QTE where you either keep pressing a button or hold a button in. One of my favorites. More action that atmosphere though, but at least you get to explore a whole town.
The zoom in? That was Tom, this game has that weird "zoom" mechanic that Tom will usually call robo eyes. You can here him press the button for it too...
If you're missing the edit, check the comment from TheOminousWindWalker. Also, wait a few seconds. The time stamp starts before and provides the context.
They must have filmed this aaaages ago. Simon mentions the last update was in March but the Steam page shows there's been another one over a month back in the middle of April.
Honestly I appreciate the dedication to speed run it twice to get back to where you crashed. Even though the game blue balled us to death, thanks for not giving up!
My suggestion for a horror game: try "Dead Secret," on steam. Pretty obscure, only a few hundred reviews on Steam I think. It's more of an atmospheric game than trying to be in-your-face scary, and the story is pretty good. It even has an ending - 6 in fact. It can be played in VR, too, but it's not a requirement, it can still be played on a regular PC and monitor.
The bluest balls, reminds me of episode 42. I wanna suggest Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water's Edge, cuz there are some nice jumpscares, a fair amount of exploration and easter eggs and it is an old game with a finished story
i have the bluest of balls. i left this episode after binge watching the others. thinking there was more epsiode to come out. to find out this was the last episode for now and the game isn't finished yet.
Who in the world is hauling these giant stockades into the thin branches at the top of these trees and dropping them in front of you? Wow... that ending.
I haven't played it nor do I know if it's good or not, but the game "The Park" looks like something you might enjoy. It looks similar to style you guys like and according to the HowLongToBeat website it takes like ~2 hours to complete.
I've seen comments mentioning SOMA, and I think that would be awesome for you guys to play. Also, Simon, maybe you could introduce Tom to the PT Demo, if any of you still have it ;)
SOMA, Lifeless Planet, Transmissions Element 120 (Half-Life mod), Shadows Peak, Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Everybody Goes to the Rapture, The Town of Light, Reveal the Deep,. To name a few suggestions. I'd love to see Simon play/react to Doki Doki Litterature Club.
To be honest, and I'm guessing it's highly likely that you guys may have played it/them before but I'd love to see you play some older 'horror' games like the Silent Hill series. Love the channel Tomsk.
Can you guys play Tacoma? It’s really fun, great storyline, it’s in space, there’s a cat, you can play space basketball... 10/10 recommended experience.
First off, Thanks for doing these horror series Tom! I haven't been a horror fan myself until now where I realise that more story driven and atmospheric options are available. I'm with you on story vs action horror. I can recommend "The Witch's House" to you if you haven't played it before. It's very indie, and it's focus is primarily on puzzle solving and story. However, there are mini run scenarios (think of them as minigames), but no need to play hide and seek with undomesticated todlers. If you do go looking at reviews be very careful of spoilers as it could spoil the experience, but by all means have a look at non-spoiler reviews. It's not on steam, it's free online. I'd give you the link but youtube can be funny about that :/ Hope this is of interest to you :). oh one last thing... It's EVIL. In the right way I'd say. but still EVIL.
Please continue Darkwood! it was great and you guys seemed to love it. I don't know why you chose to stop doing videos on it but I would really like to see some more of that. It's also a finished game.
I have a first build of a game I made, it's not horror, nor is it really a game to be honest. But It is exploration and very chill. Ive actually send a couple messages to the Yogscast and Toms channel about it but no one reads those. If you want to take a look i'll gladly send a copy, or wait until I get it on steam which won't be for a few months.
Enjoyed the playthrough. How about SOMA for your next one? It does have some chase sequences, but you can actually turn those off so you can focus on the other horror elements and the story.
tom you don't even know that this game used to be COMPLETELY different. This version that you played is MUCH longer and MUCH different than what it was like two years ago, I don't exactly know when it was updated and changed. I am pretty certain an ending is coming if they are willing to change and put in that much of a game from what was previously there. Kind of surprised its not just done but that's what happens with FREE games.
this is no help at all, but gonna through it out there. scariest game i ever played was fallout 4... that haunted house in the theme park DLC honestly scared the shit out of me. it was such a change of pace that i was not ready for
I don't know what you have already played, but you should try playing the fatal frame games. And if you do not mind visual novels the letter is quite an interesting one.
"Maybe this has multiple endings"
Not even one.
Under rated comment XD
wow. What an ending .
I wanna suggest Unforgiving - A northern hymn for the next game. It's even finished and everything
And there's an option to turn off the monsters so they won't have to do all the sneaking + hiding stuff.
no please dont do SOMA, its just another "What if robots were people?" Simulator and the protagonist is dumb as fuck
Cursed forest has an ending now, I hope they re visit this some time
Noooo, I can't believe you guys did all that just for it to end immediately! That sucks, hahaha
Still though, I really enjoyed watching you two play this game, and I quite liked the atmosphere and color scheme in this game! T'was a fun ride, indeed!
Hello, Tom!
Me and my friend Nathan want to thank you again for saying hello and talking to us earlier on today. You are a fantastic person and just as awesome in person as you are in videos! We will never forget it!! Thanks again!
also, in my excitement, I forgot to say --
Thank you for another amazing video, a fantastic end to the series!
Most genuine and nicest guy I've met, shook our hands and everything. What a lad.
ThePocko I couldn't agree more. Totally fantastic experience with a totally fantastic guy!
Just as Simon sing-songingly said "Choke me daddy!" I managed to choke on a mouthful of fizzy water, meanwhile trying not too laugh.
Why would anyone skip the story bits? You miss such wonderful things such as Simon's *CHOKE ME DADDY!!* - that made my year!
Holy shit that twist ending was so good
I'd still love to see a Deadly Premonition play.
7:32 - Bravo for that super subtle edit, Josh. You = 💯
Pierce Arner and I'll lead you all, wherever you may be, and I'll lead you all in the dance said he...
The best hymn in Christianity.
Where is the edit? because I feel super blind right now.
For those super blind, you may hear the edit at 7:42
Simon and Tom, my favourite ship!
LOL the ending. Their faces, poor guys.
Still holding out for a playthrough of OBSERVER but all horror games are great with the Tap Twins. XD
They must have filmed this aaaages ago. Simon mentions the last update was in March but the Steam page shows there's been another one over a month back in the middle of April.
When the game crashed the first time and you could see Steam, the date on the Windows taskbar was 22/03/2018, so that's when it was recorded.
Lovely banzai charge there Tom.
Honestly I appreciate the dedication to speed run it twice to get back to where you crashed. Even though the game blue balled us to death, thanks for not giving up!
Simon, Tom have you heard of Little Nightmares. Hannah played it, as you guys should give it a try!
YES
I love these 2 playing horror games their reactions are so funny 🤣
Tom, you're a champ for playing through that crashing nonsense so many times
I couldn't see anything for 60% of this video, but I still loved it
My suggestion for a horror game: try "Dead Secret," on steam.
Loving all these great series at the moment! Please keep them up!
I have faith they will finish it ..
I am invested enough to watch when it comes out ..
Appreciate yah ..!
OH MY GOD THAT ENDING
I'M IN SHOCK
WHAT
The bluest balls, reminds me of episode 42.
Simon and Tom say everything I think! I love you guys! Keep it up!
Sylvio 1 is great, it's all about the atmosphere and there's a lot more to do in it than Sylvio 2. Plus Juliette gets a potato gun!
Who in the world is hauling these giant stockades into the thin branches at the top of these trees and dropping them in front of you?
Wow... that ending.
The final station. I think Tom is going to enjoy the games mechanics and the both of them is going to enjoy the slight story.
Sylvio, the first one...... the sequel was good.. maybe the first is good as well ^^
How much time IRL did you spend on the final 2 minutes of this video?
I haven't played it nor do I know if it's good or not, but the game "The Park" looks like something you might enjoy. It looks similar to style you guys like and according to the HowLongToBeat website it takes like ~2 hours to complete.
Here's a suggestion: Nevermind. Very good psychological thriller about exploring minds of trauma patients.
WHO IS THE FUCK WOULD WANT TO SKIP THE VIDEO EVERY THING THEY SAY IS GOLDEN
Wow! What an ending. Thanks for the content, as always.
Albino Lullaby is a good option if you like - only the first two episodes are out at the moment, though.
Oh my god
WOW
That’s just cruel! Haha. Simon screams of rage though ^^
What a wild ride! Loved it! The ending was hilarious, but maybe not so much for you two. Thanks though, this was ace!
3:40 Not gonna lie, I actually went and bought a couple tees plus a poster after this. You got me good.
Why is it that all series end in such an unfufilling way?
Not A way out. That had a good ending.
KingKuma 411 Yeah true, A Way Out had a great ending
It's not about the destination. It's about the journey.
That's the excuse of every walking simulator with a lazy, half-baked story.
That fucking ending! Plot twist!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
To Tom; really like your american voice. Love it through and somethinng like that. Pura Vida~~
You guys should play through SOMA if you haven't! It has an interesting story imo.
2:31 for a guest appearance by Warwick Davis
I've seen comments mentioning SOMA, and I think that would be awesome for you guys to play.
Also, Simon, maybe you could introduce Tom to the PT Demo, if any of you still have it ;)
How about, “Close your eyes” seems like it could be a fun spoopy game
SOMA, Lifeless Planet, Transmissions Element 120 (Half-Life mod), Shadows Peak, Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Everybody Goes to the Rapture, The Town of Light, Reveal the Deep,. To name a few suggestions. I'd love to see Simon play/react to Doki Doki Litterature Club.
Firewatch was suggested below and I think you two would love it.
3:30 "siimon - did you remember to put the gaz in the sink?"
Oh Tom, I feel so sorry for you after replaying it soooo many times... you looked so defeated. Maybe have a beer haha
Already seen a comment, but I think that SOMA would be a great game for you and Simon to play.
I actually really want to see simon play deadspace, I think it would be really cool =)
LMAO I love that you had to redo that all just to load the end screen properly
Just like SImon's blueballs, the ending is not coming.
To be honest, and I'm guessing it's highly likely that you guys may have played it/them before but I'd love to see you play some older 'horror' games like the Silent Hill series. Love the channel Tomsk.
amazing ending
penumbra !!!! it has doors and drawers Tom can open en close!
Can you guys play Tacoma? It’s really fun, great storyline, it’s in space, there’s a cat, you can play space basketball... 10/10 recommended experience.
Give detention a go, really good horror game
First off, Thanks for doing these horror series Tom! I haven't been a horror fan myself until now where I realise that more story driven and atmospheric options are available. Hope this is of interest to you :).
oh one last thing... It's EVIL. In the right way I'd say. but still EVIL.
Play Sylvio 1 guys! Would make sense of the story in Sylvio 2 as well!
wow, he still has Anime Girl or Bottle installed. (bottom left) 18:22
Please continue Darkwood! it was great and you guys seemed to love it. I don't know why you chose to stop doing videos on it but I would really like to see some more of that. It's also a finished game.
I mean, I know they said no hiding from monsters but Outlast is to this day the best horror game I've ever played.
THAT FUCKING ENDING!!! Good job lads!
I LOVE STORY TIME!!!
Play Lifeless Planet. Exploration, mystery, suspense, awesome story, little known game.
Untill Dawn. Not the scariest, but there would be plenty of laughs throughout the entire game.
tom you don't even know that this game used to be COMPLETELY different.
Yesterday, yesterday origins is quite nice and short

Went the way of conarium. Half made game in early access that was/ will be left half made.
this is no help at all, but gonna through it out there. scariest game i ever played was fallout 4...
that haunted house in the theme park DLC honestly scared the shit out of me. it was such a change of pace that i was not ready for
Soma
until dawn was a goodie
You should play KONA, a spooky mystery game in Canada! Really good and On Steam!
but it costs money
Bo Tv so does cursed forest, the game they are playing in this lets play.
I will never say no to 3:14
Amazing
Alien isolation would be cool. Or finish that puzzle game you two were playing
I don't know what you have already played, but you should try playing the fatal frame games.
And if you do not mind visual novels the letter is quite an interesting one.
how abaout paranormal? :o it's quite short but huge fun to watch
If you read the descriptions of the save points it says "they give you a feeling that you saved"
If you are looking for a new spooky game thats finished I reccomend Lizzie Mcguire 3 for the Gameboy advance.
I love story time
You guys should play soma
Awesome
I for one am happy this is over
Definitely play SOMA, it's a good game with - and I know this is going to sound crazy - a real storyline and quality atmosphere.
Soma would be a cool game for you all to play.
