I got an original one from a garage sale for $5. The power cable was broken. I took the pedal completely apart, cleaned it up, and resildered the power cable connectors. It worked really well, and it kind of gave that Black Sabbath "Electric Funeral" type of sound. I was 13 when I got it in 1981. Played it for years. Then, I traded it to my bass playing friend in 1988 for two 18" Zildjian A medium crashes, since I was actually a drummer.
I have one of these and it in no way sounds like this one. Yours quacks as it should! I have done the research and I Can't find anyone who works on the HAZ reissues. Bummer, it is a great-sounding pedal! thanks, nice video.
N is not nothing, not a bypass either. It effects the midrange, it's a Notch envelope. When set correctly, it sounds like a phaser in sync with your rhythm, has a blooming sound.
I came here because I saw one of these pedals for sale on facebook and didnt know what it was. Now I'm going to go pick it up.
Would have liked to hear an exploration of the internal dip switch controls.
