I have myself one Mutron III and a Phasor II. What is amazing about this two units is how they can perform live with a 7 piece rock band playing exclusively Zappa songs and the sound still steady, with clear harmonics and overtones. I've been trying other pedals from boutique handmade brands and nothing is like this two old guys... nice video!
Really surprised that the channel hasn't done a review of the Mu-Tron Micro IV. It's their current one and may deserve a little look if you haven't already! Cheers and thank you from the Pacific NW!
The Bi-Phase is like a place where you go and live and are more happy than the place you are now forgetting about that was before. My friend has one and with a stereo guitar rig you are the 70’s. The cool beach ball at the concert 70’s.
Totally agree about the Mu-Tron's status as the best filter. It has a sensitivity you can't find in many other envelope filters, and it has a consistency up and down the neck that is unmatched, IMO. Its pronunciation of "wowmp" is divine.
Last night i had a really bad nightmare... that this channel does only exist in my imagination ...until I turned my YT on again and saw... THIS ;-) Thank you Gregor, René, Lars, Ida, Phil and all others who are making this possible
Nice sounds there bro, I think bass pedals are good and a useful tool for moving into some creative territory. A good way to take the listeners by surprise!
A good idea for a video : top 3s from your bass players. Each one names/plays his/her top 3 favorite bass/amp/pedal that they have used on the channel.
You know I also hallucinate about pedals. Although I have a bag full of them, and a wall full of basses I still want more. I'm going to check out that website for the first one you demoed.
Hello. Great video. Can you listen to protoje “Who knows” to give me your opinion if they used a envelope filter on the bass or the guitar e string? Which pedal u think?
The Best pedal are those reissue Mike Beigel (the magic genius creative of these pedales) launched some years ago... The Octave divider Is even better than the original versión! Sick pedals and Sonic treasures for sure!
I'm interested to know the name brand of the bridge and pickups on the first bass (I think) in this video, the obsidian black Rickenbacker (ish) one. if anyone could inform me of that I'd be forever grateful. I could go with just the name brand of the bass itself, assuming that what we're looking at is all original equipment. thanks in advance for any help I receive
thank u so much. I may Frankenstein an old bass soon and embark on an endeavour to convert it to an 8-string fretless. was thinking that this bridge and pickup might be the right ones for the task. thanks for the info
The envelope and the octaver around 500 bucks, the phaser goes towards 2 grand. Unless you have time to wait... I bought mine a lot cheaper, but it took years to find reasonably priced ones. Once you find them, you gotta be fast

My godfather lent me his Mutron III, and I’ve held it captive on my pedal board for almost three years now
😂🤣😂😂
THIS WAS USED ON THE PUMPKINS ALBUM SIAMESE DREAM
Love the Mu-Tron and love the Space Invaders shirt!
I had that thing (Mu-tron III) sometime in the 70s.
I love the utilitarian and colorful look of them. Sometimes the look of something makes you inspired to get off the couch and use it.
I'm binge watching Bass The World videos. I can't get enough of this lovely German man.

you do the best arnold schwarzanegger impression
It would be great to see a comparison of the originals withe the reissues like the micro-tron III and the octavider

You really need to do the new series of these pedals!
I have the new mutton, and compared to other octave pedals it is way smoother, and much more friendly to the ears.

Hey, great channel , thanks for the video !
Could you share with use what kind of drums are you using for your videos ?
Thanks ;-)
Most are just stuff from René‘s or my library. Not sure what we used here
I am uncomfortable with pedals bigger than my head.... and I have a large German dome!
Bi phase is favorite phaser sound by far. Sooo cool. Gotta slow the rate down IMO.
Does someone know more songs with that higher ground stevie wonder sound?
Groovy.
My bass Tone comes from the anger in me of getting paid for music in pizza slices.
Ah! The name is Bootsy Baby...listen and learn
Hello. Great video. Can you listen to protoje “Who knows” to give me your opinion if they used a envelope filter on the bass or the guitar e string? Which pedal u think?
Hey great video! I kinda thought the backing tracks were a little too loud?
What do you think of the Micro-Tron III? Stock it has the Tru-Tron preamp but it can be adjusted internally to have the original Mu-Tron III preamp.
I’ve never got try it unfortunately

The Mu-Fx reissues are all awesome and they now fetch as high a price as the originals.
Love your Space Invaders t-shirt. :)
I don't get the reference - never watched Game Of Thrones. Sorry mate
^_~
Anyone tried the Mu Tron IV? Thinking of getting it.
What is the bass that Phil Rehm is playing in this video?
a Musicvox Spaceranger
Star Wars equipment.
no pedals for me Gregor , no money honey , I can't eat a pedal
Your shirt reminds me of an arcade/video game from the past....
1 pedal is about 1/10 of my annual salary. LOL
Ton tee-shirt !... c'est mignon. La prochaine vente, fais la en slip. T'auras peut-être plus de nostalgiques !... Wouarf !

Hate to be that guy, but you can really appreciate the quality of these vintage pedals with an 808 and other drums blaring on top! 🤦🏻♂️
