GREAT review! Useful, concise, and to the point. I really appreciated how you also showed the back light. Much better than some of these other watch reviewers on YT that are busy smelling their own farts!
I just ordered this watch. I hope the shock version holds up as well as the G shocks. Timex was my first watch and has a special place in my collection.
I work in the security field and I keep jumping back and forth between this watch and my Iron man. This watch is a little more tactical looking but my Iron man is easier to read at night. Both good watches!
Thanks for the review, some people who post reviews don't realize these are the 'goto' videos. I was looking at getting this one since my new Timex of $20 broke at work yesterday after only two months. I've been wearing Timex Ironman since the mid 90's and only Timex. My 'goto' watch is the 100 lap flix for @$60 and I've gone through about 10 of those, really an incredible watch. But my last one went dead in Oct 2019 and I didn't want to get a new one that would get destroyed at work. So i got the $20 one, which after 8 months fell off my wrist into a tank. So i got a new $20 one and that broke at work. So i figure i should get something more rugged to handle the bangs at work and I'll try this one. Oh i'm the one that wears my Timexs on dinner dates
Lost my Casio GA-110TS-1A4 G-Shock a couple of weeks ago after a hike (left it while showering off) :( I loved that watch, but honestly didn't need one that complex-I know, I know, comparitavely it's not nearly as complex as nicer more expensive watches, but I really didn't use a lot of it's functions. Anyway, been looking for something different, affordable, rugged and cool and finally came across this Expedition. It looks basic but tough which is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks for the review, I ordered it off Amazon with confidence after watching this review!
This was VERY helpful, bro! I have a G-shock in my collection, to wear when I work on cars or climb on the roof and such. I hate it! It's too damned bulky, you can't read the digital display unless you your mouth just right...I have no idea why everyone loves G-shocks so much. So today, I found this model on Amazon and just before I hit "purchase," I said "self, let's go see if there are any reviews." This is how I got here. This is how I found out that the watch retailed at 40 bucks, rather than the 60 I was just about to pay for it on Amazon. Switched over to ebay, found one brand new and bought it...for 42 bucks. You put a case of beer back in my pocket, brother! Thanks!
Hi there. I like your review. I have ordered from ebay, the positive display (with the olive green band). Actually, I am patiently awaiting for the delivery (from the Italy based store to my home address in Greece). One thing I don't like visually is the green colour of the band. Are you aware of any compatibility with the bands from the "sister" watch from Timex [I mean the Expedition Base Shock model T49971]? I do like the camouflage colour pattern of it. The latter watch looks as identical in the bezels and dimensions to the one reviewed here.. Not sure about the band though.. Also, another thought is to seek out for the Zulu NATO nylon strap.. What do you think of that? Thank you 😊
Got this watch recently and one major complaint is they chose a dark background with light display numbers, whereas all my Casio watches are the other way around, light background and dark display numbers. This Timex can be hard to impossible to read if you don't hold it at just the right angle. I like the band, glad to see this watch comes with a durable resin band. Looks nice, fits good. Maybe / hopefully a new battery will brighten up the display because right now it's not going to work for me.
Great review thx but I would really like it if country of manufacture was part of your reviews. If I want to avoid buying products from a certain country.
Just got a timex positive display. It was 1/3 the price of my Casio and the contrast is quite a bit better than the casio. It's also overall smaller, but has a much larger, more legible, display. C'mon Casio.
Casio has some great negative displays (STN and MIP) but you have to pay for it. When we're talking about less than $100, Timex beats the competition in negative displays.
You know I would take my man out and it wouldn't be desirable with my dress and heals.but yes schematic and it is sporty.you know like when I talk I move my wrist and hands a lot cause I do sign language you said its 45 bucks.nice.......nice work
Simucom Reviews I recently bought a timex expedition and i am disappointed by its feeling. It feels very cheap and it is very light. At first I thought it was a fake but after further research i found that it really is a timex expedition from back 2013. Luckily I didn’t pay too much for it.
What batteries does this take? For the reminder can I set it to every 30 minutes at set times so I mean take a break for example 2:15 to 6:15 it beep for every 30 minutes then I can set it again for an other time? The constant reminder is it loud or quiet? What wrist size in ?

Thank you for the support and kind words!

It will hold up just fine. It's an excellent and reliable watch.

Aint nothing wrong with wearing it on a dinner date!😁

That's unfortunate. It's a compromise you have to make with these budget-friendly negative displays.
Got this in the clay blue colorway since i couldnt find the tan on sale. $28 well spent.
Oooh nice, I like that color.

Fair enough, I'll make sure to take that in to consideration. Thanks for the suggestion.
Great review
Appreciate it!

I have a bunch of G Shocks and still somehow want this?
I completely understand
Do they make this with a non negative display?
Specs - size, height, etc.? Wrist shot?
what about battery. need good close up on back plate
2nd review I watch and its not tried on wrist... come on guys we want to see how it looks on your wrist!
Third times a charm
Does this watch have a mineral glass face?

Those little screws on the watch are fake plastic, isn’t it?
I want to say yes. I have never tried to unscrew them.
