Exactly, fishing should be about having fun and just enjoying your time out there at the beach. One thing I like to teach people who are new to fishing is to just focus on taking in the scenery and fresh air and not worry about fishing. Afterwards, catching fish is just a bonus but it’s a nice way to clear your mind just listening to the waves and beach chickens squawking 😂 Thanks for watching John :D 👌🎣
It ain’t a great day unless you hear them telling people that dogs aren’t allowed on the pier 😂 Great video Sven. I gotta go back there soon and try that brutal jetty
You right 😂 or telling surfers they are way too close to the pier. The jetty is usually good fishing but that day where PLF and I went was just so tough :c at least he caught a nice Calico before we left lol
12 hours of fishing with no fish? I would have given up after 4 hours, you must really like fishing Sven to stick it out that long. No hate just commenting on your tenacity man, keep it up!
Fishing is honestly my favorite thing to do! I grew up fishing the shores with my dad and it just stuck really hard 😂 sunrise to sunset fishing sessions are actually my favorite, even though I didn’t catch anything those 12 hours on day 1, I had a lot of fun just being out there and enjoying the fresh air lol I still would have been happier if I caught at least something but you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thanks for watching! :D
Not sure if they’re still dredging, for sure they were dredging during day 3 in the video but that was about a week ago, I’d like to say they’re probably done by now c:
Glad you enjoyed the video! It was a crazy few days of fishing for sure, especially day 1 where I caught nothing but that didn't stop me from trying to catch a fish. Too bad I didn't but my buddy did and he was super happy haha. Thanks for watching Gabi Fishing c:
Oside is my second least favorite SoCal pier... after that thick red tide that hammered N county for a few days there, fishing would probably go pretty slow for a minute
Yeah I noticed that when we got out on day 2, the water was pretty dirty and the bites were nonexistent, what’s your first least favorite pier in SoCal then? 😂 I really do like Oceanside Pier but some days are just so slow
Yeah sometimes I do think I’m crazy for fishing that long and not giving up, but honestly sunrise to sunset sessions are my favorite c: one thing I like to teach people who haven’t fished before is to not treat it like fishing, just get out there and enjoy the view, fresh air, and the sound of the waves crashing. I think it’s very tranquil, and if you catch a fish then that’s just a bonus 😂
I really enjoyed your video Sven. 12 hours? Fishing isn't about catching. Keep making these great videos.

Yeah haha, Luis joined me for day 2 and John just happened to come by and join us, I gave him a few good sized yellowfins I caught c:

Yeah that was going to be my second guess 😂 oddly enough I don’t catch queen fish or herring enough to know off the top of my head
Oceanside pier locals call them herring, but yeah it’s a queen fish
