Sargo is starting you can find then early morning or after sunset at jetty,beach with reefs or rocky beaches . They bites on sandcrabs mussels ghost shrimp or blood worms . The easiest way i get them is on mushels and sandcrabs

@@jlhafishingisnotjustfishing that was a huge opal eye. I tried using green peas for them but never any luck. I don't have a way to get ghost shrimps so I'm limited on my baits
@@jlhafishingisnotjustfishing I went last night for the grunions for my daughter but they weren't there around the pier. We stayed until 10.30pm but still nothing. She's only 4 so we couldn't stay too late. I didn't get a chance last night too fish for croakers. But no mackerel were biting when we got there

En todas partes hay en el lado norte del muelle se puede encontrar tambien lado norte del first jetty. Es mas facil en las tardes o noche

Mackrel is only for sharks . Or for mackerel.
Bat rains are sharks family
We never use mackerel to catch a fish except for bass

Excellent day at the pier! Lots of big fish. 17 inch opal eye was huge.
It seems that wasn’t the only big one also on the jetty people was getting huge opeleye but in the afternoon!
