  • Douglas Wong's White Lotus seemed to spring up in the 70's, with a definite boost by Inside Kung Fu Magazine, winning tournaments and influencing movie making. Whether it was a significant style or a little bit of everything including a dash of Kenpo is a matter of opinion. Sifu Douglas Wong, after all these years, My wife and I wanted to say hi to you, I was one of your students for 1 1/2 years in the early 80's 81-83? when you were on Van Nuys Blv. then moved to the next location, I can't remember the name of the city right now, that was the location we used the tiger style to remove the carpet. Over the years I have practiced some, bought 3 of your books but nothing like being in your class. I will never forget your teachings, hand fighting technics, stretching, workouts, staff training, massage healing, and meditation. Now being older I wish I kept up with your teaching. I wish only the best for you and your family, Thank you, Butch.

Does Douglas Wong , or anyone reading this, know of a guy I studied with in the 70's named Gary Seuer (last name spelling?) He was a student of Ark Wong and his studio was in W. Los Angeles.

Love this clip here of Douglas Wong. Seems to be more relaxed , & not so hard core via the kung fu shown here.
