Very cool! Liked the test. Really like that spot, nice and quiet. Run a sluice and spend a day on the ᖇᓾᐺᕧᖆ! Thanks for taking me along and take care! 🤙✌
Good video, and golds good to ,but I always enjoy the peace and tranquility of being out in nature, whether I find gold or not, golds just a bonus ,it's therapeutic
I like the video and your passion to find Gold, just like the rest of us Prospectors. Just a reminder that you "should not be digging in the Banks, Island included", or the DNR will stop this activity that we enjoy. In Wisconsin there are no rules for Recreational Gold Prospecting but there are guidelines set out by the DNR.
@@lordyoerge99888 I've been bow hunting for deer, this week end our gin season opens for a week. Then it will be frozen till spring. All winter I'll do research and plan for some good prospecting for next year.
I've really been thinking of trying this, I don't know nothing about this stuff tho, but where I live in Oregon there's tons of water streams, I've always wondered if I could get gold from it.
There is saposed to be good gold in Oregon. I've subscribed to several utube channels from Oregon. They seem to find more and bigger gold than I do in Wisconsin.
@@freedomprospecting9034 thanks for the info, ill be sure to check into it more. ive always been interested in doing this, im not super into gold really, i just like the experience more then anything, shoot, might turn it into gold/hunting day ha
Nice video man! Just a question. Gold Hog advertises the sluice working in rapid flows and with no classification (I own one and its great!). So why did you bother with classifying when 2 meters to the back you had that wild water the gold hog sluice likes so much
I don't always classify. I've been in some heavy cobble, packed in tight gravel, very hard digging. It's much easier to classify it and I get more gravel pee bucket that can run thru my sluice. When I'm in gravel that's easier digging o don't classify
I had many people comment that by not classifying I was knocking out my gold. I don't think that's the case. But now I've gone to the great mat. I believe it catches more gold and less cons after clean up.
I'm really surprised I didn't see you doing any test panning beforehand so that you would know where the gold would be before you did all that work. Maybe next time you'll do some test panning and find the gold Before you start slucing.
Sorry sir but in my opinion that was not a true test of mat against mat. You had different dirt samples with no idea how much gold was actually in each sample. To do a true test one has to take dirt void of gold, add a predetermined weighed amount of gold into the dirt, run it thru the sluice with one mat, weigh the gold caught and then repeat with the same exact dirt and same exact weighed amount of gold with the second mat and then you compare which mat caught the most of the controlled amount of gold.
I agree but consistently the dream mat is catching gold. The amount caught is not as important as what's lost. When I catch a certain amount then run the tailings and very little is in the tailings I know it's got a good capture rate. It's what goes thru I'm concerned about

I lived and worked in Wisconsin for 14 years I have found some nice gold and copper pieces with my detector.
What part of the state did you have your best luck?
@@freedomprospecting9034 East throughout the moraines left by the glaciers.
I’ve never tried anything but Goldhog mats maybe I’ll experiment with something else good video

What do you do with the flour gold that you don’t keep?
I keep all o can find, save it.

I test panned that thoroughly. On the top foot in the roots there was nothing. But now that in the gravel I found quite a bit in test pans
You say full of gold!! Were is Thé gold??
When I say fill of gold here it's not like other states. It's flower gold and takes a lot of pay dirt to get it. For Wisconsin it's a lot of gold
im going panning
