  • Hillary Clinton spoke about women’s rights on Oct. 23, 2014 in New York. Clinton said the birth of her grand daughter Charlotte drove her even harder to advocate for equal pay for equal work for women, which she said is crucial to helping women make it to the middle class. She spoke about the continuing advocacy needed to protect a woman’s right to make her own reproductive health care decisions. Clinton was helping New York Governor Andrew Cuomo campaign for a 2nd term. The event was titled ‘Women for Cuomo’ and was held at the Grand Hyatt hotel by Grand Central Terminal. She spoke in favor of the governor’s ‘Women’s Equality Agenda’ which carried greater penalties for sexual harassment and domestic violence. Video by Ted Shaffrey.
