My car has 300kw at the wheels which is aroundabouts 500hp at the fly. Solid solid tune. Take some care now Man. Making big power is a walk in the park for these things but putting it down when they hit boost is something they don't do very well at all! 😂Power is nothing without control.
@shane marz we're talking wheel vs crank power, and kilowatts vs horsepower. There's two different measurements here confusing you. If you make 300RWKW, that equates to about 400RWHP. 400RWHP is ABOUT 500HP at the flywheel before losses through the transmission. Through the ZF you lose around about 70-100hp when measured at the wheels. So really, Jason McMillan is kinda on the money. 300kw at the wheels is very close to 500hp at the engine. I'd say more around 470hp at engine. He's just rounding up to make it sound more impressive. Anyone who constantly refers to using HP figure over kilowatts in Australia is just trying to sound bigger than they actually are. And then the people who wanna use engine power over wheel power are just insecure about their car. 300rwkw is a fast street car. No doubts about it, don't have to inflate your ego by saying 'yeah thats 400hp! which is 500HP if you really think about it'. 300rwkw is enough to hand out a lot of chop on the street, just enjoy it and stfu about your power figures when multiplied by different formulas. 300rwkw = 402rwhp, 500hp at the fly is about 402 - 420rwhp. So even though Jason over complicated what he said, Shane, you've gotta read before you comment mate.

u should of grabbed a bf turbo before the tune because the bf turbos where bigger and better than the fg because it was more focused on performance then fuel eco like i have a mate that made 380 kw at the wheels and with a tune and intercooler piping and a 4 inch exhaust
440hp at the tyre is a decent power figure in today's world. Yeah it's not massive but it won't be a slouch either. I've got a VY SS with similar power and it can be a handful if you provoke it. Especially in the wet.
The ZF's have an issue with the 1-2 solenoid not kicking back to first at a stop. Also, you need to have a ZF tune as they also tuned it so the box won't kick back to 1st- so sometimes a tune will fix it unless the solenoid itself is shagged. Advice- don't go overboard like some of us have, leaving a drag strip beast not much good for anything but (like my 709rwkw F6 Tornado with 2 speed powerglide), build something that is an all rounder and isn't a pig to drive on the street
That's the plan my friend D as cool as a car like that would be, id rather have 5 slow cars than one very fast uncomfortable one. :P so the goal with this car was to create the ultimate daily driver with decent, smooth power and could still scare a few people... I think i did alright ;)
Yep they read higher they are only needed with 800hp+ motors that are too much for the rollers. Maxed out smaller fg turbo around 400rwhp (300KW). I'm not trying to be slack I just didn't understand their motive for getting a hub dyno. FPT is an hour away...

dynos are dynos, the track is the track. they all turn out differently... moroso hp is still not the same from Australia to USA. fun is fun my man. ( didn't care for the vid), bang is bang..... @@casublegore firstly i have no idea what carmack is. i had 2013 lpg fg. it was so cheap. nothing cheaper than that yet. $55 fill up and was enough for 430 km in city dirving. also the output form lpg was mind blowing for lpg car. it was doing roughly 23 km per 100 km from my memory. as far as i know 98 peterol an fg would be around 14 km however my turbo sites on 13 km per 100.

Can't get a lot of power out an NA without dumping big money into it but headers, high flow cats and intake get power numbers up, but a good bang for buck acceleration upgrade is swapping out the diffs to 3.9 if you're reasonable or 4.11 if you're commited. Stock xt ratio is 3.23 and xr6 has 3.45 for reference
Just warning for when you upgrade mines running 370rwkw atm and as soon as it was tuned to that power my trans started slipping, I'd be doing something with the trans with your next jump also headstuds valvesprings and oil pump gears for ensure that your motor doesnt break the gears or get valve float. My old fg xr6 turbo ute made 500rwhp and 980nm of torque and I had a tru trac diff with 4.11 that was scary once you hit 3k instant wheel spin😂😂😂

Mine is on 98 with 430 kw. I say its as efficient as corolla and with power of elephant. 95 to 110 fill up
I had e85 520 kw. I didny like it because 98 is life for everday driving

They will do 20psi in the midrange. You just need a good intercooler as the intake charge starts to cook by then. It has ghost cams.

Brayden Duignan-Teys sounds more realistic, from what I’ve heard and researched 600-700nm is apparently the safe tune for most...
You can't compare the torque due to how a dyno infers the torque value, it is a tuning tool only.
