Up to this point I have been less than convinced about bronze watches. Often they impress me as being as attractive as a brick. On this watch, on this case design I am going to change my mind. Also, there is nothing quite like bright colours on a watch in the summer.
I have the steel dive Bronze Aviation watch ,I don't care for the color of the lume it makes it look like a toy ,the watch itself seems well built ,they need to change the color of the lume and put a bronze buckle on there Bronze watches !
My bronze sd1952 has the same misalignment issue with the crown. I've let Judy know with their factory so hopefully if it's an issue with other watches it can be corrected. They are great watches for the money. I now have several and going to buy more. Also the AR coating isn't noticable outdoors. I can see the coating inside but rarely see it outside
Excellent review. Really enjoy your down to earth informative style. Just received my first bronze this week, a blue dial Cronos (formally Lugyou branded). Stunning watch from Ali which I highly recommend if you like bronze watches. The fifty fathoms has been on my list for a while and Steeldive are smashing it out the park for value.
I think this watch would be so much nicer without the date complication. Regarding the strap... It would look awasome on a olive green zulu with bronze hardware... 👍
Bought a bronze Steeldive as a beater watch for work. Liked it so much I bought another bronze one for a non-work beater. Liked that one so much I'm looking at another Steeldive. The prices are unbeatable.
8:07 - I love straps with no tapering! There are more comfortable to wear in my opinion because surface of the strap is wider. And they are stronger all along. Very interesting video and your voice is extremely nice! Cheers!
Now that's nice!. Love the family chaos in the background :) Strap is nubuck leather. They sand it amd get the suede look I'd never seen steel dive b4 you and I'm really impressed by the make. When I order I'll mention this to them What other bezels do you think will fit? I want a 12 hour gmt Roast lume is very impressive NOOOOO INVICTA PLEASE! 😂
Good looking watch! Not sure about the yellow black bronze combo but steel dive definitely been on the radar for a while, good quality, just waiting for them to release something special!
Just received this watch, it's gorgeous. It was not cheap, but i think is great value anyway. Looks great on my small wrist. If you wan't to add something unique to your collection without breaking the bank, this one is for you.
good review and a nice tickle on the discount...that date window and colour looks wrong though and can we have more close up shots as you talk through a watch. cheers.
With the divers helmet on you look almost the same. I own a Heimdallr bronze 62 MAS, and it's fantastic. I also own a Spinnaker Fleuss, which is a 50 fathoms homage' also fantastic. It's the norm for reviewers to give away the watches they review, so can I have that one please
Really like this one! I went for the ‘regular’ stainless steel one. They do have black date wheels, sometimes. I’ve seen other SD1952s with them. Mine has no date at all, which I actually prefer. I actually find the yellow/bronze colours a bit loud, glad I have the steel one but I get they are going for something completely different. It does look really cool
I reckon you should use the diving suit down the old shed up the allotment... watch out for yellow gunge and you can always take that to the 24 hour waste depot that closes at 6 :P
@@Box500spooks got the Willard and put it on a waffle strap and loving it .. picking this up soon. Going to get an extra tropic strap and an extra bronze buckle for it.

SteeldiveUK are brilliant their service is first rate. I have two of their watches, the first modeled on the Squale and I love it, in every way its a superb watch and far better quality than its price would suggest. The Fifty Fathom arrived today and it is very similar, well finished, very well made and almost perfect. What you don't see from the photos of from this video is that the hands have a very slight taper where the original FF had straight hands. The hands also have a steel finish and look cheap, almost like an after thought, the hands on the original were all white and looked very distinctive. I really want to keep this FF homage (my son has my Bill Yao MKII FF on permanent loan) but those hands will have to be swapped out as I can't stand looking at them. None of this would stop me buying another Steeldive, one watch is 100% and another 95% and Steeldive UK are a great company to deal with

Apologies in advance for the elementary question (and one that is certainly ‘off-topic’) but alas I am a total noob in the ways of Vostok mods. In any event, I recently received (from Meranom) a Neptune SE 960743 (Orange Dial variant) and was wondering where I can source replacement bezels and bezel inserts? Incidentally, I find the Meranom website exceedingly difficult to navigate therefore if you suggest their website please provide the direct link; moreover, it would be great if you could provide any aftermarket options as well. Thanks and stay safe!
I know I'm 7 months late to the party here but I thought I'd let you know I've just bought this watch based on your review and also got a fiver off thanks to your coupon code so thank-you very much :)
Thats great. If you need to return it, or it has any issues you won't have the UK customer support though, which is definately better from my experience. Enjoy your new watch!
Mine arrived today, and I am really disappointed with a change they have made. The lume on the dial is now a sort of salmon pink, that clashes seriously with the other colours. The rest of the watch looks just like in the video (and the steeldiveuk photos) but the salmon pink lume on the dial looks terrible. I may have to send it back.
Be careful with these "leather" straps. I can clearly see (7:09 +- 10 sec) it is not made of single solid piece of leather, but rather one of more PVC leather glued in between tiny pieces of genuine leather and whole product sold as made of of "genuine leather". That is not right and I've been caught with that chinese trick several times on Ali. These straps look very nice and very well glued - it is hard to tear them apart, but after wearing these for couple of days I could feel that something was not right, I had a feeling of wearing plastic not even silicone. I've cute the strap and found that it is leather straps sandwich rather than decent strap. Be careful guys.
I agree, I always recommend budgeting money for a strap or bracelet upgrade. It transforms a watch for relatively little extra and the quality is substantially better when buying elsewhere from a trusted supplier.
Tried to contact SteeldiveUK, both via mail and chat on their website. No response. Ain't buying from a company that doesn't reply to messages in a week...
See I am gearing up for a "biggie", its between one of these in the exact same orange and bronze, an Invicta Bolt II Zeus Magnum in the gold and blue, a 3017 or 3133 Sekonda branded Poljot mechanical chrono or maybe a Poljot Amphibian or a Zlatoust bronze grille diver.... so many things I want and so little money to buy 'em with aargh. What makes me hold back on the Zlatoust is the movement isn't what I see as worth the money when its the same auto Vostok movement found in most cheap Amphibia's. The Invicta is just about the goldest drippingy ostentatious watch I have ever seen, it is freakin' huge and apparently pretty heavy.
