I've seen both close up and I bought the Steeldive. For not much more money it's better in almost every way except the movement. The lume is better, the brushing is better, the dial is better, the logo is better and the date complication lines up correctly. Seems like small things, but when you add them all up and realize it's only $20 difference you'll find it's worth the cost of a couple of fast food lunches to get the better watch. I've also seen the Addiesdive and Steeldive tunas together, the same thing applies.

Firstly, your use of the specifications montage with animation and sound is so much better that other review channels that just print everything at the bottom of the screen.
Secondly, as you were asking in a recent poll about the type of watches we want to see, I am enjoying your budget reviews from both Aliexpress and the more common name brands. Cheers.

Got the Steeldive version of this watch and they're virtually the same. It's actually offering incredible value for the money. OK 1.0 ms of beat error on your copy isn't great. But i'm pretty sure the lug width is 20! 😉 When people start ordering the 22 mm version of the straps for it they might get pretty disappointed! 😬

Excellent review Dan. I just had a very impressive watch delivered last week. The new colour yellow dial Steeldive 1975 Tuna on a very nice yellow rubber strap. Better bezel action than any of my Seiko watches. The equivalent cost to me was £86 including tax. I haven't been able to take it off. + 6 spd on mine. Lume is excellent and you can still see it at 6am in the dark. If you haven't reviewed one I'd highly recommend it. I didn't bother with geting the bracelet as it's got straight end lugs, the rubber looks stunning. Not kidding, this is the first watch I've ever had that people look at twice and ask questions about. Plus it's got a real summer look about it.

At last the day has come, finally. I'm really looking forward to watching this review, whether it's positive or negative. This was my first real mechanical, since then I bought another two from Addiesdive, the MM300 and the sumo. My personal considerations are positive. However Im eager to know your concept. Great channel. Regarding your shorts survey about the channel direction so to speak, my opinion is just keep being a smart bridge between European, Japanese and Chinese watch brands. Don't let some people mislead you from this. Chinese manufacturers know they will need sooner or later start designing their own pieces mainly due to copyright issues if they want to sell their goods to Western markets. Is not unthinkable some sort of "Huwaei blockage" if they carry on making homages in the way they have keep doing.

@@watchmewithwatches agree but often there is BETTER value for money in some of the homages (i.e. American - Long Island Watch Islanders with better specs than the Seikos they are homaging - and frankly I don't hear anyone in the watch community griping about Mark homaging Seikos ... cough cough .. double standard???). This Steeldive/Addiesdive is also in my opinion one of those cases.
I do get the appreciation for original designs but do you really want to spend 3-10x the price (new Willard is running around $1k) for the design and the name for worse specs and QC issues - alignment? Some may but I don't ... i like the looks of watches and want to get the best value for money watches I can afford regardless of the name. That is what makes watch collecting great - so much variety, choices and options for everyone's preferences.

A homage of a homage?Maybe I missed something but is this a division of steel dive??The name and the logo are blatant rip-offs.Price is good but that pressed clasp annoys me.

That movement should be better, both in terms of accuracy and beat error. Seems like a lot to pay for a watch that’s poorly adjusted.
