Thank you so much! I wish you could come to the market too! It’s really fun and so many cool vendors that make things to shop from! Thank you for watching and the kind words! 🌸💜🥰
Thank you so much for watching our movies! We really appreciate it! She wrote that song and then we just sing together and she plays her guitar. It’s so fun! 🥰🌸💜
I can't believe it, I found you on youtube, Jes's sister. I love you ladies. I never miss her videos. I've watched when you were on her videos. So excited to see you here.
Great job at putting those bouquets together. I love that Ceecee was able to help out and is feeling better. The talent in your family is inspiring. Is that you and Jes singing? You harmonize so beautiful. xoxo
Lovely bouquets. Have you considered getting a paper cutter - the kind with the handle you push down - to cut the ends? I've seen other flower farmers do that, and it seems to make the job easier. They also use craft paper for longer stem bouquets. Then they put the bouquets into buckets. That seems to save time and money, too. I have seen these steps on Sunshine & Flora, You Can't Eat the Grass, and Flower Hill Farm's older videos, as well as others.
Thank you for the ideas! I never thought of the paper cutter that’s a really good idea! I bring some Kraft paper with me to the market just incase anyone wants them just wrapped up and not in the jar! I’m gonna check out the videos you mentioned thank you for those!! 🥰
Oh my this is exactly what I wanted to see (subject)and was afraid to asl your sister if you had a Chanel in case ( not knowing you had a channel) I didnt want to be offend. Im so excited as I am in my first year for cut flowers, Tyson corporate relocated 600 jobs and I didn't want to move. while I search for new job I thought I would join my father as he does market for gardening veggies. Curious your fav flower to order from Erin at Floret? I grew the tall celosia sherbet mix. So glad I stumbled on your chanel. Renee from South Dakota
That is so cool you get to go to the market with your dad! I bet that’s so fun! Thank you for watching it! I love all Erin’s flowers that I’ve tried so far but I think these would be my favorites- amaranthus mira, celosia flamingo feather, black night pincushion and zinnia candy mix! Thank you for asking and I wish you nothing but the best!! 🥰
We do $12 or 2 for $20 and they get the jar too! We usually bring 24 bouquets in jars to the market when we get going with a lot of annuals to cut and they usually all sell. Most sell for 2 for $20! Thank you for watching and asking about it!! 🥰🌸
@@plantlifefarm that’s a steal of a deal. You know that your peonies are worth far more than you are pricing them at?., It’s anywhere from 3.50-5$a stem depending on variety. I’d recommend adjusting the price for those, to maximize your profits. 5 for 25$-30$+is the norm. Of course your welcome to sell for whatever you want., but for local cut flowers, that’s a deal itself! And you don’t want to undercut yourself.
@@silencedflower8441 thank you for all that information! I feel like they might be a good deal too because they seem to sell really good and fast! I’m out of peonies for this year but maybe for next year I should rethink the pricing on them. Thank you for sharing that info with me, I really appreciate it!
$12 for all those flowers?? Our markets must be way different, I’m In upstate NY in the Adirondacks which is pretty rural and we would easily get $25 or 30 for that!
We just put them in a crate or today I used an old amazon box lol 😂 then put them in the back of the truck. We put them in mason jars filled with water!
Thank you! Jes calls me that since we were just little but my real name is Jocelyn lol 😂 we just sing together for fun and she plays her guitar! Thank you for watching it!!
Omg girl! You are so rough with the flowers. The way you threw them on the tables... I'm usually SUPER careful because I don't want to bruise the Petals & cause them to turn brown later. Do you not get complaints of bruised petals? Also, Those peonies are far toPetals? Those will probably Starr dropping all the Petals in a couple days. And last, make sure you have every leave that will be in the water removed. Just one leaf being in the water will start breaking g down in the water, causing bacteria to grow in the water, & can take DAYS off if your customers vase life. But you're off to a great start! They look great otherwise!
I got to do a better job at stripping below the waterline, I did a pretty good job of it last week so I think I’m getting better at it! Thank you for watching! 🥰
Does your customers have anything to say about the vase life of your peonies? Ideally, I think they’re supposed to be harvested at marshmallow stage. If they’re too open it won’t last long in the vase.
They haven’t said anything yet, they all seem to love them!! I definitely can cut them a little sooner! That’s a great idea for longer vase life! Thank you for asking and watching!!! 🌸💜🥰
Beautiful bouquets!!!
Wished you lived closer, I'd visit the market often❤
