I took Rich’s advice too on pinion and diffs when I set up my exb for the first time. It was really helpful and cool of him to take the time to help out a complete stranger with his countless years of experience and knowledge!
@Rich Duperbash did same for me and you have to think how many people in our community have asked him the same question so massive props to him for helping us out. The other person that really helped me out was @RC Dude81 (Eric), im in the uk and I ordered loads of parts from M2C, they were getting my emails but for whatever reason I couldn't get theres and I was literally speaking with M2C on the phone as they tried both my email addresses but they just wouldn't go through. Anyway I contacted Eric and he spoke with them on my behalf and sorted every detail out for me. These top guys in our hobby have there own lives jobs multiple RCs families etc and they deserve a massive shout out for taking the time to help us basically cut corners to get our rigs set up right. Absolute legends!
Yeah rich help me out alot too with diff fluids. 30k rear 200k center and 50k front. I'm gonna 300k in my center. This is for the exb diffs BTW. Open diff I always go 500k and 1M half and half.
6:17 You're my hero 👍🏾 I'm a cook & used this method in kitchens "piping" cake icing or creme sauces..for cakes & when decorating dishes and need a controlled flow. why haven't I thought of this for RCs!! Lol
Great stuff Brother and appreciate the mention 🤗. Diff tuning and maintenance truly makes a huge difference. I gotta mention the TEKJO diff gaskets. The stock ones can definitely wear and let fluid leak much easier than the TEKJO's (on eBay from Stephane Saucier in Canada). The outdrive O rings can also sometimes leak. Green Slime stops that. It's very possible that split left A arm at the hinge pin is causing your steering grief. It can definitely change your camber and toe under load/throttle and cause wonkiness. The other thing I thought of was the HR front hubs. Might double check you have equal play at the pillow balls. Slight variations from one side to the other can definitely cause drifting. The truck won't hold center correctly. Regardless of the root problem, I hope you get it sorted. The longer Kraton XL should hold hold a straight line better than others on hard throttle. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Well, I had it out at the motocross track the other day and it was a night and day difference. He tracked a lot straighter and performed awesome and thanks again for the tips buddy.
Another killer bench video brother. Got to bash my Kraton XL this weekend as well and rear diff went shit LoL 🤣. But I continued running it till she started losing power LoL 🤣. Gotta get them diff dialed. Well done brother.
Yeah, this car would not stay straight but I had it at the motocross track two days ago and it performed amazing and stayed nice and straight so I think I got it. Thanks for watching buddy
Good video. Looking forward to the next run; hopefully these changes fix the pulling issue. You could write on your diffs with a metallic silver Sharpie so you know what fluid is in them the next time you do maintenance.
When those diffs are 100+ degrees during lengthy speed runs and bashes, you’re basically turning that light fluid into water. I run 500k topped with 100k in my rear of both world record Mojave 0-60mph bashers, need both tires power sliding and powering out of corners when diff cases (aluminum) are IR temp readings over 120-130 degrees. Plastic cases expand to the point you’re losing that “water” through o-rings, completely fine if you want to service more often. Yes an open diff will turn easily under power, but I’m all ass whipping drifts and gas. If this was a true track SCT, I’d certainly make a tuning change to lighter silicone viscosity
In my opinion. I'm sure you had enough fluid in the diffs. I haven't seen one that has run a Dozen battery through it still had fluid . I see it as a centerfuge with a gasket on the head of it. And a pansy o-ring to stop the fluid from leaking. There is a lot of centrifugal forces against the gaskets . Mostly if you're hitting the panic revs. It would take more of a gasket and o-ring to stop that from leaking. In my opinion. Have Fun.
I have the same problem with the straight line but I've done the same as u check and changed all my diffs and I put it down to my steering rods was out they was not set right servo was straight but my front wheels still looked off so sorted them and it seems to b better now ..... I hooe that might help if it still happens, also if u do my jubilee clip mod on them arms then that split won't happen again trust me it tried and tested for many months and it has my seal of approval lol 😉👌🤙💪💯💯💯
Hopefully there will be a noticeable improvement now that your diffs are full. I also wonder how much the slop in the rear hubs is contributing to not staying straight?
I could definitely see that with too little diff fluid you’d get so much diff action that under hard acceleration the tire with the least amount of traction could definitely pull the car side to side. Side bar question. Im looking to build and MT48, Kraton, or Kraton XL. Would love ur opinion on how u like these platforms? Thanks man!!
Mr Tones, what diffs are they?I'm curious as I have been using the G4 diffs which give me loads of trouble. The planetary gear holders are just so weak and the Lsd system sucks.?✌️

🔥🤘🔥hopefully it will track better?! I loved how it became 5 minute crafts with the diff grease! Good idea! 🤘🏆👊🍻
Awesome video my friend good stuff on the diffs!!! Great job thumbs up 👍
Thank you my friend and I appreciate you watching
Yeah brother looking good I can't wait to build my first XL
They’re an awesome car that’s for sure!
Yeah I think I need to replace my hubs as well. Great video man
Yeah, they had a ton of slop. Thanks buddy.

i always run 20 in the rear and 50 in the front and silicone stuff in the center ... runs great on every car in my believe
Yeah, it definitely seems like the sweet spot

Yeah, I should probably do that. That is a good idea.

Very nice setup. I am going to go through and rebuilt my Kraton soon. Lots of abuse has it worn down a bit.
Yeah, I’m guilty of not rebuilding the shocks in the differentials as often as I should
Great diff maintenance and video
Thanks buddy

Very true.
This my issue with larger arrma builds it wears the parts faster , you may have change the bearings and or the axles
I had to change the ends on my rod links on the end to get that slop to go away that you got right there
Yeah, I replace the rear hubs and the shims and everything is tight again
So just like the front end the holes get oblong where hinge pins go through I thought it be bearing also but I buy from Jenny's and comes new bearings
I have the same problem with the straight line but I've done the same as u check and changed all my diffs and I put it down to my steering rods was out they was not set right servo was straight but my front wheels still looked off so sorted them and it seems to b better now ..... Well, I had it out the other day for a run and it seems like it’s tracking a lot. Better now.
Yes that rear hub slop is annoying some times it's bearings axle tolerance I think the older metal shield bearings were better
Yeah, I replaced the hubs and the bearings and everything is great now
Hopefully there will be a noticeable improvement now that your diffs are full. I also wonder how much the slop in the rear hubs is contributing to not staying straight?
Well, I had it out a couple days ago and it was much much better now and those hubs may have been contributing also
Hello :) Love ur videos. Can I ask where you got the body from? I like to have a Kraton XL body :D
If you search Amazon or eBay for the pro line Chevy C 10 long bed.
I could definitely see that with too little diff fluid you’d get so much diff action that under hard acceleration the tire with the least amount of traction could definitely pull the car side to side.

This has become my favorite platform it handles. Nice, it jumps great and very stable.

They are the normal spiral cut gears they’re not the limited slip
@@BarstoneRC Thanks .Good luck with diff fluids.
Let's go
Hi, is the diff of Kraton compatible in big rock?? Thanks
No very different
Why people shop on Amazon I'll never understand.
Support your local Hobby Shop people or they'll disappear
Well, trust me, I usually tried to, but they rarely ever have the parts I need
