  • This webinar will examine the policies and planning associated with agritourism. Over the past few decades, products and services characterized as agritourism have grown in popularity. Fueled by people seeking authentic farm experiences and sustainable living, the size of the global agritourism market is projected to reach $111.1 billion by 2032, revitalizing rural communities while preserving farmland and agrarian lifestyles. Now is the time for agriculturists and other tourism stakeholders to start exploring policy and planning options for agritourism.
In this webinar, attendees will learn about the latest trends, resources, and examples involving agritourism. An expert panel of tourism practitioners will share their insights on this phenomenon while devoting special attention to product development and diversification, partnerships, and marketing. Panelists include Chadley Hollas, principal consultant and researcher at Cultivating Tourism, a boutique firm specializing in rural tourism and agritourism; and Anne Trenholm, agricultural promotions coordinator with the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry.
