My brother was a huge Hendrix fan. About 20 years ago, we met up in Seattle and went to a Rock Museum there where this white guitar was displayed right out in the open (not in a glass case). It was behind ropes and had laser beams passing in front of it to be the security system. he said to me, " I just have to touch it" and then started to reach for it. That's when the alarm went off. haha . Then a security guard appeared out of no where and told him that he was NOT to attempt that again or he would be escorted from the building. So, we went about the rest of the displays and as we were about to leave, he said, "let's go back to Jimi's guitar". When we got there, he reached out past the laser beams and touched it! haha. Needless to say, we both were escorted to the door. He was so happy that he touched it! What I didn't know was that he had terminal cancer and died 10 months later. I think of Billy every time I see that guitar. Rock on Bill

It's amazing how Hendrix makes playing a upside down strat looking so natural, everything this guy did as a musician guitarist, live performer and recording Artist were just beyond words to describe. A man truly ahead of his time and still is relevant today.

What an amazing place! I always enjoy when museums have handwritten lyrics and also when they have an item that was worn and then a photo of the person wearing it. Thankfully these things land in the right hands of the people that preserve them. Can’t wait to see more...

Dude seeing that guitar just now was surreal. Like, he held that guitar. His sweat, tears and passion was poured into it. And it’s just sitting there on display all alone without Jimi to play it anymore. So wild man.
