    One suggestion: When you ask Josh a question, let him answer without interrupting him. Give him time to think before stepping in with your own thoughts. :)

    Just a dating suggestion...
    We have been married 14.5 years and the last couple of years we have been very intentional to have at home date nights on Friday night. I feed children (ours are 11.5, 9.5, 6, and 4) about a half hour earlier than usual and then they get in PJs and brush teeth, watch 1 show and get in bed about an hour early. They can read books but stay in their room. That gives my husband time to get us either take out or put together a meal for us. We sit down and eat together by ourselves! We get uninterrupted time to talk about whatever. I have a special wood tray and bowl that we sometimes will put our favorite cheese and nuts in and have some wine (or sometimes just popcorn) and watch movie or a couple of episodes form The Office.
    Follow this up with Saturday morning coffee together. We let our children watch 2 shows each (yes that's 8 20-min shows) and have unlimited cereal (only time they get to eat junk cereal). We spend this time discussing our week plans as well and any parenting issues we need to resolve.

    Hi Megan.
    I found your channel in the fall/winter of 2020. Your faith and wholesome family values has really helped me through some difficult times. In one of your episodes you mentioned the Mennonite Disaster fund. I had the pleasure of speaking to someone who benefitted from this wonderful organization. They had built his mom a new home that had been lost in a flood. Hearing this story touched my heart. The work that this organization does is nothing short of amazing. Any case, keep being you and God bless.

    I’m being sincere about this, I feel if you would listen more and calm down.. listen to your husband and give him a chance to talk. I learned this with my husband. He often didn’t express himself cause I didn’t give him a chance. You can learn so much more, when you become more reserve and care what others have to say.

We live in mid-Maine and we don’t see really any refugees. I don’t know if it is too cold or what, but there are plenty of unsaved people everywhere that we can all be “backyard missionaries”. Obviously that doesn’t discount the international missionaries and their amazing and important work, but God will open our eyes to opportunities to share His love close to home if we allow Him to!

    I always love your videos Megan and look forward to each Thursday you post. I especially love the Q&A's you and Josh do together - they are like a bonus. You both are so sweet! Since you brought up the Mennonite culture in this video - I do have a question that perhaps you could/would address in another video chat of yours. I live in a small province in Canada and we in the last 4 or 5 years have had an influx of Mennonite families move into our area. If I were to guess, I would say they would be more conservative than your family perhaps. They wear the traditional dress to the ankle, the Mennonite cap, etc ... This leads me to my question .... Since watching your videos for a few years now, I have grown to love the Mennonite culture and find it absolutely fascinating. I love the way you do life and so much about the way you live out your everyday. I have since thought it would be so fun to become friends with a Mennontie family. I myself am a married Pentecostal mom with 2 children. We women wear dresses/skirts and have long hair. We as well come out from among the mainstream. My issue is ..... the Mennonites in our area are so unapproachable. They often will walk past you and never look sideways at you. I have tried smiling and greeting them and they still do not respond. Is this typical for a very conservative Mennonite? I would love to be friends and develop a relationship with some of them, as I find their way of life so interesting. But perhaps this is something that is not acceptable in the culture? Do you have friends you hang out with outside of your culture/religion, as in do you hang out with anyone that is not a Mennonite? Would that be considered bad practice as perhaps we as outsiders would possibly be a bad influence? I'm not meaning to be judgemental of anyone but just very curious. I find the way you live so fascinating. If you could respond that would be so appreciated as I really do want to understand why they are that way.

      It don't seem natural to me? Its more natural to be a follower as a lady when you're married... was for me anyway... also it's not sinful to have a bad habit. ♡
      To be more chatty then your husband doesnt make you ruling over him... just makes you more chatty. Im much more chatty then my husband but he can sure talk when he wants to and I would tend to appear much like Megan :) but my heart has no desire to rule over my husband and I listen and learn from my husband so much... you can't look at people in a video and think you know their hearts or how things are run in their home♡ whether you rule over your husband is a attitude of the heart, not so much your habits or how chatty you are.

      @@kindnessmatters4068 Wow someone is triggered. Perhaps @Kathryn Murray's comment hit closer to home than you think. And yes, anyone seeing this one video can very clearly see that by this woman constantly interrupting her husband, it is their normal way of interacting. It is disrespectful to be so dismissive of anyone, let alone your spouse and that has do do with common courtesy not even religious beliefs. If you want or need to be the alpha female like this woman, why must it be done so disrespectfully? So look in the mirror before making your knee jerk comments. I guess preaching kindness is a smokescreen to hide how little you show your spouse or others as demonstrated above.

    Today I saw some Mennonite ladies and said “Hi, I watch Megan Fox!” Lol One girl said she had met you and the other had not heard of you but I’m happy I got to meet them and understand their values because of your channel! :)

    Loved this video. Seeing Josh in a whole new light now. I was one of those who thought him very shy and quiet. Now I see him as a good bloke who loves his family, his job, and his faith. // Just curious. As Mennonites, are there any medical procedures (like blood transfusions) that you won't do? Have you had the covid vaccines, or is that outside your beliefs? No judgement, just interested.

      I am also Mennonite. In my experience there are no medical procedures that are not permitted as far as a faith conviction. It is a personal decision as to what you will and won’t do. The same goes for the COVID vaccine. There may be some groups that are more resistant to the vaccine just as there are people in the general population who are resistant.

    Great to see both of you!! I am a grandma! We had 2 kids, a girl and a boy, and now 6 grandkids! There are a lot of ways to look at the name Mennonite! We have actually decided as a church to drop the name from our church name, even tho theologically that is our belief, but we choose to distance ourselves from the more liberal types like Mennonite USA and their belief systems they are pushing that are no where near to what our anti-baptist beliefs started with. One might think the way we live/dress that we are liberal! But not in theology!!. I have heard of more and more in the Conservative conference dropping the name for the same reason...its a shame but I guess it is what it is-most important is to live our lives for Jesus and hear the words, "Well done!" Blessings to ya guys!!

    Josh nailed it even he said if you are with God there is no downside. But at the end of the day the road is narrow and the last thing we want to do is be "well rounded in the world.....

    Great video! I always find your videos relaxing and interesting. I am an atheist with no desire of having kids in the future, so our lives couldn't be more different, but I am always fascinated by other ways of living and cultures. Even if I don't agree with your view on God, I respect it because I think that you are a wonderful, kind and honest human being, which to me is the main important thing. To me, it doesn't matter what is your religion (or no religion) as long as we are kind and respect each other.

    We have an Afghan refugee population here in Rochester, NY. A local organization called Keeping our Promise helps relocate Afghan and Iraqi allies of the American military. They were all employees of the American military, like as interpreters during the war. Lots of churches of multiple faiths help support the organization, and it's great to see Christians, Jews, Muslims, and others coming together to help one another and create a unique community of people.
    Also regarding kids, I don't have any right now. I always watch you in awe because you seem to do all this stuff and keep all this momentum going... I'm a very sleep-dependent person and worry how having a baby would impact my energy and mental health. A bad night's sleep or an insomnia night really trashes my next day and feels like torture. I always watch you and wonder how you do it all!

    A wedding ring makes it clear that a person is married and not avalaible any more. It's a help for others not to cherish any false 'hopes'. Therefore a question of love.

    • @kindnessmatters4068
      @kindnessmatters4068 2 года назад +1

      I wouldnt question someones love off of the fact that they don't wear a ring... your attitude and actions toward the oposite sex is what makes it clear you're married or not. I know a ton of people that don't wear rings.

    • @Morewecanthink
      @Morewecanthink 2 года назад

      @@kindnessmatters4068 - What I meant is that I think that wearing a wedding ring is first a public commitment of one's own marriage and love to persons outside of this marriage so that they are at first sight able to know that these persons aren't available for any romantic thoughts anymore.

    • @kindnessmatters4068
      @kindnessmatters4068 2 года назад +2

      @@Morewecanthink I guess I would view the vows (when meant from the heart) as the public commitment... because I have seen many women that wear a ring act completely unfaithful in public... I don't wear a ring myself and have never had a problem with people wondering if I'm married.
