I work for a Goodwill and just wanted to mention that the next stop after the bins isn't the landfill. Textiles(clothes and linens) are sold to companies that make rags. I can't remember where plastic and glass items go but I think they also have one more option before the landfill. Sorry it's been a while since I've watched all of our training videos. Also I keep wanting to mention, it drives me crazy when I see you shop at Goodwill and they barb clothes in the back sometimes making a hole. We barb all of ours in the seam usually in the shoulder near the collar if it's a shirt or dress, but always in a seam. And lastly to anyone thinking about donating linens to Goodwill, if they're stained or have holes or just too worn, consider taking them to an animal shelter because we send them straight to the outlet since we can't sell them in our stores, but most animal shelters can use them. Just call and ask yours if they accept used bedding or towels.
Our bins location has a huge dumpster in the back that’s always filled with tons of junk. It seems like they take all the leftovers each week and toss it in there. Maybe not the clothing and textiles, but all that hard good crap definitely goes in there.
Goodwills are run differently county to county, I can assure not all Goodwills send the leftovers to the proper places. My Goodwills don't even have bins locations, all the leftovers from each store go into huge dumpsters in the back without even being given a second chance at the bins.
I live in central Cali and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if our Goodwill gets the leftover crap from the Goodwill bins in other states.😆 I'm continually shocked at the amount of good stuff RUclips resellers find at their Goodwills.

Whenever I watch your bins videos or when I go to the bins, I always feel a little sad, because there is always so much stuff, and most of the stuff there will end up in a landfill. I'm glad you, and a bunch of other resellers go to the bins to not only get a good deal on profitable items, but to make sure that at least a few of those things will get a second life. This is why I've never understood why there are some people so adamantly against resellers. We aren't taking anything away from poor people because most of this stuff will end up in a landfill anyways (I also literally started crying during the Mose appearance. He's so cute!)
Found that exact carhartt jacket at a garage sale last summer for $5. Sold it for $150 plus shipping which was on the low end of what I could have gotten.
Have to admit I was rolling my eyes and shaking my head when you grabbed the boots. Was thinking, he'll get those because with their following they can sell absolutely anything. I stand corrected!! Those trash boots are excellent!! I'm always learning from you two. Thanks!

I never cease to be amazed at the stuff you find at the bins. Sometimes months old, not years. It’s great that you give these things another life and make money too. On the flip side, the over abundance and consumption of tat polluting the planet really hits home with you realize ‘the bins’ is a minuscule proportion of peoples waste.

There are some bins in Florida. They call them Goodwill Outlet. I've been to one in Tallahassee and a few in South Florida in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area.
I’ve gotta give you credit, normally I skip sponsors/ads if they drag on for more than 10 or 20 seconds, but this time I watched the whole surf shark ad to see what you were up to with that craft project 😂 props to Mose for putting up with it, and Surf Shark should be paying you extra for this one!
That thing of doc martens cleansing balm makes me want to get a nice pair of leather boots, use the hell out of them, then fix them up again. Or I could be a shoe shiner in a city hall building and fall in love with an assistant in the parks and recreation building. There's a lot to consider.

Boots are always worth cleaning - Clean them up, let them sit overnight and then photograph and post the next day. They always sell same or next day for +/- $60

As a non-American I find it incredible that you find better stuff in the goodwill outlets (and destined for landfill...) than in our charity/secondhand stores in the UK 😂. The sheer volume of stuff donated to goodwill must be immense...

As far as cast iron cookery goes…I enjoy making pizza in mine. I use The Pioneer Woman’s Cast Iron Pizza recipe. Just buy pre made pizza dough in the bakery dept. of your grocery store and follow the recipe and build it with your toppings of choice. Super easy and tasty.

Hello again- great job on the boots - I love getting stuff to upcycle I recently did a pair of flats ballet style for my 8 yr daughter they were dirty with mud stains pd a couple $ and cleaned painted and glittered (sealed too) she was so happy to see the outcome I’m not selling those but may in the futures/ ladies (heels ) and kids as well , and I make over crocs. have a great night guys !

The Goodwill's here in Charlotte just raised their prices. Clothing was raised .30 centd . $4.49 now $4.79. Shoes raised $1. 5.99 now 6.99. Not sure if its the entire state or other regions. They get this stuff for free!!!! I guess there'll be more junk going to the landfills.
I absolutely love the chunky knit blanket. I paid close to $100 for mine. $2 was a steal!! I hope it brings you good profits (even though it’s brown, lol)
