I have this exact model and it works great. A word of caution, don't let the power switch on when not in use, the battery will discharge quickly and the only way to recharge it is by starting using gasoline. I'd prefer to keep mine just on LP. Also, I've had some challenges keeping the unit logged in to the app, it has told me twice that I need to transfer it from the old version to the new, but hasn't worked yet.
Interesting. I have left the main power switch on over night and it stayed charged. I also have a 9000 watt inverter generator made by the same parent company that makes the generator in this video, and I have left that main power switch on over the winter and it was still charged the following spring when I went to start the generator after winter storage. Thanks for the information, and thanks for the comment.
These dual fuel suitcase 3000-4000 generators are a good size for RVs and home backup. I have the Wen 3600 dual fuel. The threaded oil funnel is pretty neat. Thanks for sharing.
Just paid $750 for this unit, should be great for my shuttle bus rv build. This will be backup to my powerstation if i dont have solar generation. Question: Does this generator have a stand-by mode to power on and off the generator via blutooth, and how long does that stay on?
Interesting. You can either contact the seller through the Amazon website and ask them for a solution. Or, you can contact Amazon customer service and tell them the problem you're having and see if they have any solutions for you. They should. I've had excellent luck with Amazon customer service via telephone.
Yes, I can easily lift this with one hand. No problem! But I'm also 6'4, 300 pounds and strong as an Ox. The generator weighs about 50 pounds so you be the judge if that is doable for yourself. Thanks for the question.
@@omarh4694 Probably. I've never done it myself but I have heard of other people doing it on similar models. I am not 100% certain it is possible on this particular model. Plus, I can't recommend anyone to disconnect the co sensor. If you would like to disable a piece of critical safety equipment, that's 100% all up to you.
It is spicy, I agree. It would be nice if it had another outlet but it does have a 30amp outlet and I suspect this model was designed with the RVer in mind. If you plug an RV into the 30 amp outlet, then the number of outlets on the face of the generator becomes irreverent. If you add up the features... dual fuel, electric start, Bluetooth app for starting and monitoring, digital fuel gauge, electric meter, etc... then it is priced similarly to it's nearest competitors.... especially when it's on sale. For example, if you compare it to the Predator 3500 that normally sells for $800, it does not have many of the features that I listed above. (among others) However, it does an extra receptacle. I realize this generator is not for everyone, it's up to the consumer to decide what features they're looking for. Thanks for the comment.
@@Capt-John-T-Moore Yes, I have that model, too. It does indeed have an additional 120 volt outlet.... and it is also Bluetooth. However, the Bluetooth functionality only allows the user to monitor wattage draw on the generator, it does NOT allow remote start from the app, like the dual fuel GT model. (because the gasoline only, non-GT model does not have electric start installed)

I purchased but had trouble right out of the box, electric start battery missing. No number in manual for help. Kinda lame.

Anyone have the part number for the full tube wondering if it will work on the 5500 maxspeeding rods camo generator
What is a "full tube"? Are you asking about the funnel that screws into the engine block?
@@SlipFitGarage pretty much a threaded funnel they have one for this model but not the 5500 model it’s kinda a pain in the ass to drain…
$1,000.00 is a spicy meatball for such a small generator. A SINGLE 110v plug? Pshhhhh.

@@SlipFitGarage its absolutely a decent generator. I think you are correct that is geared toward the RV users having the 30 amp plug.
